Bush: Syria trying to "get back into Lebanon"

The Middle East crisis indicates that Syria is trying to "get back into Lebanon," U.S. President George W. Bush said on Tuesday.

"There's suspicions that the instability created by the Hizbollah attacks (on Israel) will cause some in Lebanon to invite Syria back in," Bush told reporters, adding that would be against U.S. and U.N. policy.

Syria, under international pressure, last year ended its 28-year military presence in Lebanon.
