Elements of Lasting Peace
· Meditating on the depth of Jesus’ s, the Father’s and the Holy Spirit’s love for me.
· Letting go of toxic emotions, understanding that I am also capable of equally insensitive choices that impact others as I have been seemingly impacted
· Focusing on God’s ability to make a way where there seems to be no way
· Choosing solitude with God, listening to Him
· Worshipping the Father, Son and Holy Spirit for their beauty, power, holiness
· Thanking the Lord for all of times that He has intervened, often at the midnight hour
· Being wise about my physical limitations, planning a rest day after a heavier day, verbalizing boundaries when others cannot understand my limitations
· Keeping the Sabbath as a day of focus on hearing from God and resting
· List the revealed pointers of His imminent coming
· Remembering that other believers are also “the apple of His eye”.
· Making positive statements in negative circumstances
· Speaking peace into situations
· Resting in His arms, acknowledging my helpless and hopeless estate apart from His intervening care
· Recalling His promise that He will deliver until the day He arrives!
· Lifting my eyes from circumstances to the joy of eternity: the pleasure of His touch, the first love relationship of fully being understood and understanding the beloved; the intimacy of never being separated from Him; the joy of knowing that He knows better than I what will please me eternally.
· Accepting what I cannot change today as having passed through my loving Father’s hand as character building and for my ultimate good.
· Living today alone; staying in the present in His love and grace
· Singing, letting music fill the air early in the morning
· Asking Him to speak to me as I study and read His Word
· Making my relaxation reading a journey with Him, not theology.
· Write/journal/do creative writing
· Balance the day…no work after 8 pm
· Go to sleep with deep breathing and simple praise
· Love His appearing !
