"Two Ways to Figure the Length of a Generation"

It occurred to me that there are really two ways to figure out the length of a generation ...

One - You can figure from the time a person is born to how long he/she is expected to live ...
In modern times, that is, concievably, considered to be 70 / 80 years.

Or, Two - When I was studying genealogy, there is such a thing as a PROPAGATING generation, which means the number of years from the time one generation has their first child until the next generation has their first child ... In modern genealogy, that is considered to be about 35 years... 40 years is not too far removed from that.

My point is this : One can, concievably, apply either of these dates to Israel and we are still within the "last generation" i.e.
1948 + 70  (this date is inclusive of the 7 year tribulation) OR
1967 + 40 (this date is not inclusive of the 7 year tribulation)

Just something to think about.
