"Longevity & Israel (How
Long is a Generation?)"
The longest-lived individual in modern times
ON RECORD was Jeanne Calment. She lived 122 years & 164 days.
She died in 1997.
Another "oldest living person on record" is Marie-Louise
Meilleur, who is 113.
The oldest person in the U.S. whose age can be documented
is Elizabeth Bolden, 115.
There are others who, now or in the recent past, have
claimed to be older, but there are problems with documentation.
The average longevity in the 1990s was reported to be
a little over 75 years. Currently, some people have lived to be over
100, especially if there is longevity in the family.
I believe it is safe to say that, given the right circumstances,
a person can expect to live "three score & ten" years (20 x 3 + 10
= 70), and if given more strength ten more (80.)
Now, about whether or not Israel became a nation in 1948,
I believe it did. The nation may have not come into fruition then
(not gained control of Jerusalem), but "the fig tree nation" certainly
began to "bud."
So, if we count 70 years as a generation & 1948 as
the beginning of a generation, & being pre-tribber, subtract 7 years
tribulation, we are still within the time frame of "this generation shall
not pass away UNTIL ALL!!! BE FULFILLED.
Keep looking up, Watchers. Do not give up hope!
