"beware the media, the business
of hate"
Just my 2 cents here. I had listened to talk
radio for a while and there it is more evident. It is not just news it
is a business. To make money they have to get you hooked into listening
or watching. To get you to listen they need to stir up your interest or
get you stirred up. If it were straight factual news it would be rather
boring, so it is put forth in such a way as to get you to pay attention.
It is not just people that have a certain political bent that distort the
news to fit there ideology that we have to be wary of, it is also the method
they use to get you addicted to their news, so they can make money. Hate
is a strong emotion and those who oppose their ideology or portrayed as
being hateful, narrow minded etc. and they want you to hate them.
So with that in mind we need to be careful of what well
we drink of. If we are pouring this stuff into our heads we will polute
our soul and bring forth the type of fruit from which it came. It is hard
to have a good communication with the Lord with all this stuff floating
around in our heads, it polutes our relationship. If we consider iniquity
in our heads he will not hear us.
The news is such an hinderance and distraction. They
want you to think it is the most important thing. It is not. Everything
that is significant depends on our relationship with Jesus. If we spend
most of our time listening to the news and little time with the Lord, guess
who has become our God. I speak to myself here also.
God bless
