"Left Behind & The Antichrist"
Hi John & All:The "Left Behind" book series, although on a topic extremely interesting to most of us here at Five Doves, is ridiculously overwritten, and lost interest for me shortly into book four of the now fifteen book series. Although I managed to slog through books four, five, and six, I have been stuck on page 100 of the seventh book for about 3 to 4 months now. There is way too much melodrama, at the expense of characterization. Quite frankly, for me, even the good guys have become unlikeable.
Now having said that .... for anyone who read at least a few of the books, did a lightbulb go off in your head when you discovered the antichrist's name to be "CARPATHIA"? Or did you just read over it as another name?
Well there is significance to the name, because "CARPATHIA" just happens to be the name of the boat that rescued the 700+ survivors of the Titanic. Get the symbolism? Now I don't know if the authors ever mentioned why they had decided to use that name, but the meaning wasn't lost on me.
See ya in the air,
Eric
