IAF Targets Hizbullah’s Top Brass

Israel Air Force fighter planes on Wednesday night dumped some 23 tons of explosives on a bunker believed to be housing the senior Hizbullah leadership.
 

According to reports, the bunker, located in the Bourj al-Barajneh area of southern Beirut, housed the terror organization’s most senior leadership.

IDF officials stated that Israel has indeed succeeded in penetrating the terror organization, obtaining credible intelligence information regarding its top leaders.

Following the attack, Hizbullah released a statement via its al-Manar TV that Israel in actuality targeted a building under construction, not the terror organization’s bunker, adding the bombs were dropped on a mosque that was being built, nothing more.

IDF sources early Thursday morning indicated that for now, it is a sit-and-wait game to learn the true results of the bombing mission, indicating with a modicum of confidence that the target was indeed the bunker housing the Hizbullah leadership.
