IDF Willing to Release Certain Terrorists in Prisoner Exchange Deal

(IsraelNN.com) Senior military officials during recent days have indicated a willingness to release certain terrorists in a prisoner exchange deal towards obtaining the release of IDF Corporal Gilad Shalit.

The number of terrorists that would be released in such a deal does not seem as important as the type, that is to say terrorists who do not have “blood on their hands.�

Officials are indicating a willingness to support the release of terrorists who have been incarcerated as a preventative measure, or those not responsible for violent acts of terror.

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert however has released statements that there would be no negotiations with terrorists, demanding Shalit be unconditionally released.
