Dear Doves,

 

Here are some passages that speak of trumpets and shouting and the hiding of the redeemed in the rooms while God judges the earth. You might see other themes as well.  I won't say anymore, but let the Scripture speak for itself. Remember, Jesus and Paul knew their "Old Testament".

 

 

John 14:1-3

 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many rooms if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."

 

Isaiah 26:17-21

     As a woman with child is in pain and cries out in her pangs,
      When she draws near the time of her delivery,
      So have we been in Your sight, O LORD. 
      We have been with child, we have been in pain;
      We have, as it were, brought forth wind;
      We have not accomplished any deliverance in the earth,
      Nor have the inhabitants of the world fallen. 
      Your dead shall live;
      Together with my dead body they shall arise.
      Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust;
      For your dew is like the dew of herbs,
      And the earth shall cast out the dead.

      Come, my people, enter your chambers,
      And shut your doors behind you;
      Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment,
      Until the indignation is past. 
     For behold, the LORD comes out of His place
      To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity;
      The earth will also disclose her blood,
      And will no more cover her slain.

 

Zephaniah 2:1-3

Gather yourselves together, yes, gather together,
      O undesirable nation, 
       Before the decree is issued,
      Or the day passes like chaff,
      Before the LORD’s fierce anger comes upon you,
      Before the day of the LORD’s anger comes upon you! 
      Seek the LORD, all you meek of the earth,
      Who have upheld His justice.
      Seek righteousness, seek humility.
      It may be that you will be hidden
      In the day of the LORD’s anger.

 

1 Corinthians 15:51-52

Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

 

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
