EGYPT AND THE WORLD SYSTEM PART 4

As I read this symbolic and prophetic chapter in Genesis chapter 12 I was amazed that the chapter heading (12) matches the theme and the specific verses in the chapter corresponding to their respective numeric meanings. I sometimes walk through life wondering if God is in perfect control because of my humanity but every piece of evidence points to God's sovereignty. I struggle with it but I cannot deny the facts. On the one hand as I look at the World System it is very brutal and sad but on the other hand God promises the Believers in Jesus Christ New Beginnings in Him which includes the Rapture of the Church and Heaven. If you desire to look at Egypt and the World System Part 3 to get some background before you read this article feel free. The link is at the top.As I look at every area in life it is obvious to me that the rapture is just seconds away. That is good news and so are the last two verses in Genesis chapter 12 because it typifies our future.

In Genesis 12:19 the Bible says "Why saidst thou, she is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her,and go thy way."There is no question in my mind-the Pharaoh is a type of the devil himself. It is very interesting to me that the Church is the bride of Jesus Christ. When we accepted Jesus Christ into our heart the Holy Spirit came in to live inside of us and He is our engagement ring.Technically speaking our marriage with Jesus Christ has not taken place yet.The marriage ceremony is after the soon to be rapture of the church and it is mentioned in Revelation chapter 19.I find it interesting that the Pharaoh beheld Sarai and desired to be her husband. By faith we accepted the Lord Jesus Christ into our heart and as a result we are destined to marry Jesus Christ in Heaven. Notice we only have this privilege because we accepted Jesus Christ into our heart by faith. Notice the Pharaoh a type of the devil was trying to marry a child of God. Obviously this is reserved for Jesus Christ not the devil. There are many reasons why the devil hates us.One is that we are God's possession. This is very high on the pecking order with what the devil can't stand.

The number 19 corresponding to verse 19 has a consistent meaning from Genesis to Revelation of faith. Since we accepted the Lord by faith we are destined to marry Jesus Christ in heaven. This is the verse where Abram's faith rejoiced. God came through for him and his family was released. They were no longer in the false clutches of the devil.Any believer in Jesus Christ that does not look for the Rapture of the church just simply does not understand that God through His Son Jesus Christ at this future point will be releasing him or her from planet earth into His Kingdom never to be harassed by the devil again. God has not destined his children to be held captive but to reign free with Him in His Kingdom.Thank God the Rapture of the Church is soon to take place through His Son's Resurrection power!!

Verse 20 in Genesis chapter 12 says "And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him; and they sent him away, and his wife, and all that he had." Prior to this it is only logical to deduce that the Pharaoh saw that Abram did have possessions. Notice at this point the Pharaoh was not able to keep any of Abram's possessions. If you don't catch this point which by the way is in verse 20 you will miss half of what I am trying to say.Positionally the Bible says we are joint heirs in Jesus Christ. Romans 8:17. Everything Jesus Christ owns through His grace He has already decided to share it with His children. The devil realizes this but still steals things that are precious to God's children. He might steal our health, peace, freedom.joy,or maybe something financial that was rightfully ours as managers in God's possession. The devil cannot do this without God's permission but he does steal and it is certainly in the model of Genesis chapter 12.The Bible says in John 10:10 "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy:I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.Verse 20 is where the Pharaoh had to release Abram,Sarai, and all he had. The very number 20 has a consistent meaning from Genesis to Revelation of Redemption. How can anyone read this verse and not see a redeeming theme? There is nothing but redemption in this verse. This is the verse when Abram was physically released. When the Rapture occurs we will physically get our new resurrected bodies. All that satan stole from us will one day be returned at our redemption (Rapture of the Church). Just as everything was returned to Abram in this model all that was precious to us will be placed (given) back in our possession. This will be a time when our tears of grief will be replaced with joy through our Resurrected Savior Jesus Christ. As much as satan would like to hold us through some sort of seizure God will not allow it because Christians are not destined for this.

When the Rapture takes place which will be soon this will be the culmination of God's redemptive plan for His Church (the Body of Jesus Christ). We will realize what our possessions are through our Savior Jesus Christ by experience. Everything will be restored to us that the devil stole. At this point Spirit,Soul and Body will be one and we will be whole in Jesus Christ. This will be an extremely joyful reality. Are you ready? Being that we are so close to the Rapture of the Church how could anybody go wrong by accepting Him into their heart as their very own Personal Savior. Think about it.You can't go wrong because there is an old saying "get Right with Jesus Christ or get Left behind." People tend to trivialize getting left behind but nothing could be further from the truth. The Rapture of the Church will be a joyful experience. Getting left behind will be a horrible time.

Think about it
