EGYPT AND THE WORLD SYSTEM PART 3
http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/july2006/bobd75.htm
Egypt and the World System is not only a fascinating
subject but unfortunately however you desire to approach this subject it
is a reality with every single individual on planet earth. Did you ever
notice how some people just feel so comfortable on this earth regardless
as to what they go through? On the other hand there is another group of
people that regardless as to what is going wrong or right they just cannot
bring themselves to want to stay on this earth because they know it is
not their home. Another reason would be Egypt and the World System. By
nature it is very powerful and there is a lot of cruelty. If you missed
part two and desire to read about the background, what I am doing is taking
each verse in Genesis chapter 12 and corresponding them to their meanings. The
entire chapter is symbolic and prophetic. The link is at the top.
I went over every verse in Genesis chapter 12 and showed
the numeric meaning up to and including verse 16. In verse 17 the Bible
says "And the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because
of Sarai Abram's wife." The number 17 has a consistent meaning of victory
from Genesis to Revelation. Notice that the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his
house. This was obviously a victory for Abram. Since I'm convinced that
Abram/Abraham's life was not only symbolic of our steps as Christians but
also prophetic in nature I am going to focus on both but concentrate on
the latter rather than the former (prophetic). In this case his story is
describing Egypt and the World System and the future of God's plan and
humanity. Keep in mind if Egypt (World System) captures us in one way or
another we cannot go by this model for us in the duration of our seize.
God personally gave Abram 7 promises. The fifth promise was "And I will
bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curest thee." If somebody
attempted seizure on Abram or his family (which they did) we have to remember
he received a special promise from God. Look how long his great grandson
Joseph spent time in brutal prisons in Egypt.
Now that I established my position that this is not only
a practical passage but prophetic in nature let me expound on verse 17.Of
course this was a victory for Abram;however, Egypt is a type of the world
system and Abram represents the believers journey of faith (the Church).
Jesus said to Peter "And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon
this rock I will build my Church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail
against it." Matthew 16:18. This was a promise that Jesus Christ Himself
gave not only to Peter but the Church. No matter how much seizure takes
place (the believer in Jesus Christ) around the world the gates of hell
will not win.By seizure I mean in one way or another the world system taking
a believer or believers captive including martyrdom. Satan has power but
no where near enough to stop the Church (Body of Christ); the great commission.
Notice Abram was on the move stepping out in faith before God. This is
precisely what the church does. They step out in faith getting the Gospel
out and of course this is a beginning picture of the encouraging message
that the church is going to get the Gospel around the world without the
gates of hell winning the victory.I used the word beginning because this
is just part of the picture that the Word of God paints.
The second part of what I would like to show you matches
Revelation 18:4. In Genesis 12:17 "And the Lord plagued Pharaoh and his
house." The word plague is an amazing word because in Genesis 12:17 it
even adds "with great plagues." God is trying to make a point and prophetically
one can only compare this plague with Revelation 18:4. Remember Egypt is
a type of the World System and when God is ready in His due time a judgment
on Babylon will be issued and ordered by God Himself. And I heard another
voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her,my people, that ye be not partakers
of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. Revelation 18:4. God
took Abram out and He urges people in the future 7 year tribulation to
do the same because the World System is destined to be plagued in the outpouring
of God's wrath. The Pharaoh's plague is a picture of the tribulation period
and the World System. Both had and will have their roots in the World System
(Egypt). Of course God is against this brutality of the World System because
it is enmity in His eyes and of course He will judge it.
Verse 18 says"And Pharaoh called Abram and said,What
is this that thou hast done unto me? Why didn't thou not tell me that she
was thy wife?' Eighteen has a consistent meaning from Genesis to Revelation.
This number typifies bondage. It was in this verse that the Pharaoh of
Egypt realized he was in bondage. The future mark of the Beast system is
spoken of in Revelation 13. I know a lot is said about that number; however,
in all the verses that the 6+6+6 system is couched in, it is found in verse
18 the very number of bondage. There is a foreplay before this verse describing
the future world government but it is not until the reader arrives at this
verse (18) that the 666 system is even mentioned. This will be a system
of bondage under the chapter heading of number 13(Apostasy) Revelation
Chapter 13. We are free in Jesus Christ but Satan is bound so of course
he is going to try and institute a system of bondage.Six is the number
falling short of God's Spiritual Perfection (Seven). Three sixes (6+6+6=18)
is the ultimate number of bondage next to 666. Notice it takes 6+6+6 to
arrive at this horrible number of bondage (18). When a group of people
are in so much bondage they don't know Jesus Christ personally so they
have no hope in their heart; therefore, freedom is bondage.
It is amazing. When I read Genesis chapter 12 I thought
it was going to be at the most a 2 part series. The Holy Spirit showed me
so much in this chapter that it had to be done in five parts. Four articles
dealing with Egypt and the World System so part 4 is yet to be written. If
you are a Christian I challenge you to read a passage and ask God to show
you truths that only He can reveal to you.If you are not a believer in
Jesus Christ, He is the Son of God and is willing to come into your heart
if you ask Him.The subject I am writing about is real (Egypt and the World
System) and trust me when I say this- the world can offer no true promises.Only
God can do that through His Son Jesus Christ. To make matters worse if one
dies without Jesus Christ in his heart hell is just a continuation of the
World System in all it's brutality only so much worse. This is why a true
evangelist will try and reach out and point to Jesus Christ and explain
that He is truly the Savior of mankind urging other people to accept Him
into their heart.I hope "Egypt and the World System" helped put some perspective
on this deep historical, present and future reality that is referred to
as the World System.
Love in Christ
