Friends ~ it IS possible that we could literally be days, weeks, (months at the most) away from worshipping around THEE Throne!

Have you noticed how MEAN people are lately? I mean – more than the usual! Over the past few nights, we’ve had the unfortunately pleasure of witnessing customers just literally chewing out the workers in restaurants – all because their order wasn’t done right to a tee, or in tonight’s instance, the guy was just SURE he was overcharged by a buck!!
He literally pounded his fit on the counter & yelled at the restaurant manager, “you are WRONG!” he growled, getting louder by the minute. I mean ~ cussing & carrying on – because of what? He was wallowing in how UNFAIR it was that he (thought) he’d been cheated!! …. Over a few measly coins!
Then, overhearing the conversation at his table, he & his wife (?) and friends were talking of vacationing in the Rockies – I’m sitting there thinking, Hmm…. You can afford to go out of state & have a lavish vacation, but you pound the counter & yell at the manager b/c you think you’ve been cheated.
Well, turned out, the manager came out & explained to the man ~ “Look! You get ONE discount or the other, I simply cannot give you both on the same visit.” To which the man did finally admit – “Oh, I understand NOW!” ~ (He never did apologize for his rude behavior, however) Sigh!
On the way out, we quietly “thanked” the restaurant manager for even OFFERING the special to start with!! ~ and sigh, is this a sign of the times or what? ~ he was taken aback by it ---, he said he N-E-V-E-R gets any “thank you’s”!!
Same thing the other night – you woulda’ thought WW3 had already started, the way this customer was reaming out the guy behind the grill! I mean – c’mon!! Give the cook a break!! Could it be that he, too, might have a gillion things on his mind ~ and in trying to fix everyone’s orders just right, may have just overlooked & put tomatoes on your burger?
Unless you have a DEATHLY allergy to them – couldn’t you just QUIETLY take them OFF your burger ~ or does it make you feel like Superman to stand there and literally YELL at the cook and make a spectacle of yourself? And even if your allergy was that bad, still a person does not ever need to treat someone else like that! Ever heard of the golden rule?
Had you just come from church? And was this how they taught you to act? Just wondering ~ if so, that’s one church I’ll scratch off my list to visit.
I know of others who are having blow-ups with their friends, ex-friends, neighbors, in-laws, outlaws, you name it. I mean big, HUGE blow-ups! Surely this is part of Matt. 24 ~ of people turning on each other (?)
We were in a fast food restaurant one evening recently and ~ well, my mother earned her living working in fast food & would tell how customers would come in & steal even the toilet paper from the bathroom!! Well, this particular restaurant had LOCKS on their toilet paper ~ that was there ON THE ROLL!! Gracious!! I know money can be awfully tight some times – but is it worth a person risking his soul for a roll of toilet paper??
1 Cor 6:9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
Rev 9:20 But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. 21 And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts.
I know some who are trying to make the rapture date “fit” into next spring some time or Rosh Hashana, or what have you …… but I’m telling you, by the huge, mega signs we are seeing ~ I just absolutely do not see how we could still be here this time next year!!!
And honestly, as mean as people are – I do not WANT to be here into next year. No, I’m not trying to make it “fit” into THIS year, just because I’m ready to get on outta’ here. But by the SIGNS we were told to watch for ~ surely our redemption is at hand!! Surely Jesus is about to step out onto the cloud for us.
I think all of who call ourselves “watchers” should be watching DILIGENTLY right now!! That, of course, means to ALSO work and carry on with life as we would ordinarily in the meantime (following the example of Elijah, who continued merrily on ~ right till the moment he was caught up). But to try our best to not get caught up in the “cares of this life”. {Luke 21:34 “But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.}
We KNOW that Jesus WILL be here soon!! Let’s go out to meet Him! Maranatha!
