One additional clue I found in scripture supporting using a 30 day month is in the story of Noah. The fountains of the deep broke up on the 17th day of the second month and Genesis 7:24 specifically states that it lasted 150 days until the 17th day of the seventh month. 150 days / 5 months = 30 days.
