Saturday's article, "The Days of Lot: The dancing will stop", by Mike Mickey, will also be linked to the Daily Update page.
EXCERPT:
Around the world, people are dancing in the streets, demonstrating their pride in rebelling against the will of God by practicing homosexual lifestyles. What I would tell them, if I were able to speak to them all, is this: Their gleeful and mocking dancing will someday stop! Not only that, the fact they are dancing in the streets in celebration of their gay pride is evidence that their dancing will SOON stop, demonstrating their need to repent of their sins and come to faith in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior before it is eternally too late! Why do I say this? Let me explain.
In the 19th chapter of Genesis, we see the story of Lot hosting two angel messengers in his home in Sodom - the city from which the word 'sodomy' is derived. The angels, who were dispatched there in Genesis 18, had been sent by the Lord to ascertain the status of the city's wickedness. Soon after their arrival, they were sought after by the male residents of Sodom that they might know them - in the biblical sense. The men of Sodom's "gay pride" was of such intensity they literally were trying to break the door of Lot's home down to get at the angels until, finally, the angels were forced to strike them with blindness. I'm quite sure, based on the description of the events that took place in Sodom, there was a lot of "gay pride" in Sodom or, at the very least, an absence of shame that they were living in rebellion against the will of their God who, as seen in Leviticus 18:22 and elsewhere in the Bible, condemned (and yet condemns) the behavior. Fast forward to 2005....
