"Re: Frank M.'s John 15 Post"

Shalom Doves, and especially Frank,
Yesterday as I read your post, I was quickened in the Spirit.  I know that many Christians teach that they don't have to keep the "Old Testament", that they are set free by Ya'Shua's sacrifice.  But I don't believe that.  And the quickening that I felt when I read Frank's post...was along these lines.
I have recently been studying the things that Nehemia Gordon is revealing thru the Michael Rood seminars...and I think he has uncovered some major differences in what the Greek translations of the New Testament say as compared to the Hebrew translations fromt the original HEBREW of the New Testament.
I felt, and feel that we will be held to Torah principals...which Ya'Shua kept.  And I think that is what John 15 is saying.  We are the fruit of the vine of Ya'Shua....but we can only bare the same fruit that He bore...if we live as He lived.  And when He said, that some will say "have we not cast out demons in the name of  JESUS...and He will answer, depart from Me, for I know you not".  Matt. 7:21-23.
There are some serious mis-translations that we need a better understanding of, and just as the Jews missed their encounter with Messiah when He walked the earth with them, we too have some things that we have not fully understood.  Do we also have to miss the mark, as some are said to have done in Matt. 7:21-23, or do we want to consider that we might be one of those.  I don't want to be pruned from the vine, just because I want to go down an easy road of blind faith.  I want to walk the righteous walk, and have a strong faith because there are no loop holes to let me fall short.

Shalom,
Miriam Brown
