"Children and the Rapture"
Hi John,
Earlier this
year, or was it late last year, that I sent in a post in reply to articles
expressing concerns that children would be left behind in the Rapture.
In it I quoted
scriptures that, to me, pointed very clearly to the fact that children,
under the age of accountability, would NOT be left behind. The scriptures
are: Matt 19: 13-15 and Mark 10: 13-16. There Jesus said:....."Let the
little children come to me, and do not hinder them, FOR THE KINGDOM OF
GOD BELONGS TO SUCH AS THESE." ......(emphasis mine)
Another piece
of scripture I quoted then was Ezekiel 16: 21 in which God was admonishing
Israel for sacrificing children. He said: "You slaughtered MY children...",
which, to me indicates again clearly that children belong to God and He
will take care of them.
Today, in
my devotional, I was reading Deut. where Moses was recalling the Israelites'
sojourn out of Egypt. In verse 39 of Deut. 1 God told Moses....."your (Israelites')
children who do not yet know good and evil - they will enter the land.
I will give it to them....."
I believe
this clear statement from God the Father Himself, is a type or foreshadow
of what He will do with children in the Rapture. He will let them enter
heaven (the land) - children who do not know good or evil - (which in modern
vernacular means "children under the age of accountability".
I've prayed
that the above verses would give comfort and reassurance to parents who
are still uncertain as to whether or not their young loved ones would
go with them in the Rapture.
Thank you
again, John, for your continued faithfullness in running this awesome website.
Only in eternity would you, or anyone of us, know the impact you've made
on the souls of those who constantly visit this site. Hang in there, everyone.
It won't be long. It really won't.
John
