"Can move mountains if
you forgive"
I was reading Mark 11:23 re having faith to remove
mountains when this jumped out at me. I see mountains here also as problems,
problems in our lives. We make problems mountains if we do not yeild to
the laws of Christ. For example, If we do not forgive we are gonna
have a realy big mountain that hinders us and torments us all our life
if we are so stubborn. Realy all our problems are mountains that dog us
block us and prevent us from going where we want to go. They never do go
away if we do not deal with them Christs way and even if we do not go away
then He can give us the grace to look at the mountain in a different way
so as not to overwhelm us. His grace is sufficient. We may also not remove
a mountain if we do not do a specific thing He asks us to in re. to a certain
problem. Sometimes we have to make hard choices and throw certain things
away. Our spirit likes to appease and cave in and this certainly perpetuates
problems. We are not called to be popular and sometimes we have to make
stands that will cause us strife. This is where we need faith to do the
right thing so that the problem that has become a mountain goes away. Pardon
me as I speak to myself.
Mark 11
22"Have[f] faith in God," Jesus answered.
23"I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself
into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he
says will happen, it will be done for him. 24Therefore I tell you, whatever
you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be
yours. 25And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone,
forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."[g]
