Dear John,
Here is another little tidbit in reference to Jim Bramlett’s article, “Man created on 6th creation/millennial day.”
Revelation Of
The Sons Of God
It is obvious from a
close study of Genesis 1 that Adam [and Eve] was
God’s final creative act just before the sixth day ended, Genesis 1:24-31.
Adam is very unique in human history in that he was not born, but rather created. In Luke 3:23-38 we find the geneaology of the Lord Jesus Christ proceeding backwards to Adam. Every person listed was the son of their father, except for two in the list. Christ is listed “(as was supposed) the son of Joseph,” Luke 3:23. The wording of this statement clearly supports the virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Father of the Lord Jesus was the Holy Spirit, Luke 1:34-35, making Him literally “the Son of God.” Then in Luke 3:38 it is stated that “Adam…was the son of God.” This is because Adam was created and not born. He had no earthly father. God “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man [Adam] became a living soul,” Genesis 2:7. Thus the Spirit of God was the Father of Adam, being his Creator.
When was Adam created? He was God’s last creative act just
before the end of the sixth day. And
because he had no earthly father, he “was the
son of God,” Luke 3:38.
In Romans 8:14-17 it is specifically stated that “…as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Read the whole passage. Then in Romans 8:18-19 we read, “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation [unveiling; revealing] of the sons of God.” That’s us! True believers! Those genuinely saved by the grace of God.
When is this “unveiling” going to take place? The glorification of our bodies, visibly displaying to “the whole creation” [8:22-23] that we true believers are “the sons of God”? When?
When considering God’s great week of thousand year days, 2 Peter 3:8, hasn’t it ever occurred to God’s people that the final act of God at the end of this present 6000 years (the sixth day) will be to resurrect and rapture His people to glory in their new created bodies? What saith the Scriptures? The day Christ arose from the grave with a glorified body was the day the Father in Heaven said, “Thou art My Son, this day have I begotten Thee.” Read the entire context in Acts 13:30-34. Glory!
Folks, I know what the calendar says. But I also know that this world’s calendars are a total mess, due to the tinkering with them of various well intentioned, but misguided men. I trust and have absolute confidence in the chronology of the inspired Word of God. God’s final act on the sixth day was the creation of Adam; a son of God. I have to believe that this was more than coincidence. I am personally looking forward to the Lord bringing this sixth day in God’s great week to a close by “bringing [rapturing] many sons unto glory,” Hebrews 2:10. Praise the Lord! Glory! Hallelujah!
The door is open in Heaven, Revelation 3:8; 4:1. Rapture
time is at the door! Are you ready? Acts 16:31.
