"THE SHROUD OF TURIN"

THE SHROUD OF TURIN

Much is made of the shroud of Turin, being the cloth that covered Jesus' body while He was in the tomb.   Being a one-piece cloth, it shows the outline of the entire body and face. of what is supposed to be our Lord.   However, the gospels say that Jesus was wrapped in linen "clothes",which were found in the tomb but that ANOTHER cloth wrapped His head........
So, the clothes, and the cloth, were two separate pieces of cloth, not one continuous cloth covering the length of His body and face,  and the Lord made sure to tell us in John 20, that they were even found in two different places in the tomb........so that we at the end of this age wouldn't fall for this ruse, which approaches icon or relic worship........so, whatever they propose as "scientific evidence", etc.,   I think I'll just stick with the John 20 account...........and let the Lord have the last word.........which is His Word..................
see:
John 20:4 So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. 5 And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. 6 Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, 7 And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. 8 Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. 9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. 10 Then the disciples went away again unto their own home.

Grace and blessings to all of you...........YSIC         Arlene
