"why is knowledge not sought by christians??"

most time I ask questions I get why do you want to know?? why do you care??? what till you get to heaven. it seems no one want to gain knowledge of what was any more and those who do are rediculed for haveing the audacity to want to learn something. we have such a narrow focus that we probably put potential christian off from converting because we refuse to answer their question because they are irrelevent not of importance in the scheme of things. if a question is asked it should be answer as indepthly as possible. whether we think it is important or not it is to important enough to someone that they asked it. and I don't think God would make the person feel weird because they asked a question most people don't. in christianity now we seem to have a ignorance is bless mentality know a little as is needed to be saved then STOP. go no further. God will tell you all you need to know after you get to heaven so don't seek knowledge here on earth. if you seek knowledge of things  and look for it and ask question about things you are some heritic type who must be horsewhipped back into the fold. just because other christians want to remain dumb doesn't mean I want to. I want to gain knowledge but not loose focus on God on Jesus on heaven. But too many seem to think gaining knowledge and focusing on God are oppisites that cannot co exist. no wonder so many christian immediatly support any one who says they are christian to find out if they are telling to truth would be to gain knowledge and that is wrong. so lets all be blind stupid idiots and accept what is told to us and not find out anything or try to gain knowledge. God will give us knowledge in heaven till then we'll just have to stick our fingires up our noses and sit on our duffs. No wonder Islam is gaining influence they are out promoting themselve and we are promoting Better faith through stupidity.
