Dear Robin,

In response to your post regarding the article by Pastor Chuck Baldwin:

http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/july2004/robinw79.htm

"Beware of wolves in sheep's' clothing." His reasoning is full of holes; his unsubstantiated statements are half-truths. Can you recognize the leftist world view, casually dismissing the relativism and moral degradation of the Clinton Administration by saying: we survived it. Did we, really? In what shape? Are our children exposed to less smut? Is God more welcome in the USA? Then, he finishes by saying: don't worry, if the Constitution Party fails, we will survive Kerry also. Possibly, but in the meantime, how many more abortions will we 'survive'? How many more gay-marriages? How many more of our children will be exposed in our schools to Islamic ideology in the name of multiculturalism? Chuck Baldwin knows darn well that the Constitution Party will not win this election. So what is the 'vote of conviction' he is talking about if not an endorsement of the liberal agenda and a speed-dial button marked self-destruct? Is he delusional or just deceitful?

Chuck Baldwin aims to divide Christians falsely into those he says act out of fear and those he hopes 'vote their convictions' and wait for God's intervention - reminds me of  many in Europe who waited for God, and the Allies, to intervene, to stop the madness, who thought they could survive Hitler by staying 'out of the way', and others, Jews, too few, who discerned the word of God and managed to birth a nation.

While this pastor talks about the 'spirit of fear' he is sowing the 'spirit of confusion'. Go back and re-read the history of the American Revolution and remember the Founders, all God-fearing men, who pledged their lives and their honor to fight the strongest war-machine on earth instead of relying on God to take care of 'His business' and waiting for 'wonderful things to happen' by staying out of the way of the British. Think about it and pray for discernment.

Blessings
