"Re: Ruth and the Fall Harvest"
Thank you for your post on Ruth, CAPS.
If you recall, Boaz placed the 6 measures of barley in Ruth's vail.
Do you think this could also be symbolic of Christ in His "barley company/overcomers"
(number 6 denotes "man")? Her "vail" was her headcovering...which
covered her "glory". When Boaz asked her to remove her vail and hold
it, while he measured the 6 measures of barley and "laid it on her" ...her
"glory" would have been revealed. Could this be another hidden reference
to the day of Atonement, when the trumpet of Jubilee is sounded to proclaim
the restoration of our inheritance and the Glory of the Lord to be manifested
in His people?
