Hi Jim, thanks for your post. I enjoy reading all of your posts. I was intrigued by your recent one about the possibility of babies in the womb seeing God. Both times that I was pregnant, with my two little boys, I prayed a specific prayer for them that was based on a similar assumption. I asumed that because I was a born-again Christian, and the Holy Spirit "dwelt" in me, then He could speak to my unborn baby (who was also "dwelling" in me). It made sense to me at the time, and still does. I prayed that The Lord would speak to them so that when they are old enough to have some understanding, and when The Lord calls them, that they would RECOGNIZE his voice. I believe that The Lord did speak to them, and that they will know his voice when He speaks again to them.
Another significant prayer that I would encourage any pregnant Mum to pray is this: To confess ALL yours and your husband's sins and also confess on behalf of your family and ancestors who have sinned. Pray that any family curses would be broken and that the sins of you or your forefathers would not be passed on to the child.I truly believe that Jesus loves children in a very special and unique way. I would not be at all surprised if they "see" God before they are born. After-all, the Bible says that "their Angels in Heaven see God's face".
Thanks again for your wonderful and encouraging/challenging posts.
Julie
