Terrorism vs. abortion

Dear friends:

This morning, former U.N. ambassador and Presidential candidate Alan Keyes was on Joyce Meyer's television panel discussing the Christian roots of America and the nation's turn from God.

The subject of terrorism and the nation's battle against it came up.  The articulate Keyes defined terrorism as the purposeful killing of innocent civilians.

He then pointed out that this is the same thing happening with abortion, and that at the same time we are fighting terrorism, we are also doing it!

I would add that terrorism kills civilians for a political purpose, but abortion also kills civilians for a political agenda, to satisfy the godless ideology of the political left.

One big difference is that so far the terrorist victims only number a few thousand, whereas abortion victims number over 1 million a year, and over 40 million since the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision in 1973.

Jim

P.S.
On the subject of homosexuality, last night Perry Stone pointed out that God judged specific cities, not nations, for this sin.  But, he said, God would have withheld judgment if He had found a few righteous people in those cities.  Perry says that God's fiery judgement on us has so far been withheld because He has thousands of righteous people across the land -- many with Christ's imputed righteousness by faith.  My opinion is that when these righteous people are removed in the rapture, God will be released to bring the judgment on America and the world.
