  Too bad dream interpretation can't be more of a cinch. <G>
 Most genuine spiritual dreams will have one major key to it; which almost always centers on the Lord Jesus somehow.
 In this case, it was the "LADDER".
 Below is your nieces dream once more.

  The whole family was swimming but not in a real pool. It was this weird big mass of water, not inside anything, it just kinda floated there like the ocean. I was walking up the huge ladder & I remember seeing the water forming a huge wave. I saw Brian  in this wave & I  & everyone else was in the "pool" too. I ran down the ladder because my mom was in the house & I knew it was gonna flood and I had to get to her. Then the wave went away but I was still trying to get to my mom. All of a sudden, the wave came back so I started running to get her & the wave crashed then I got knocked over and I couldn't get to my mom in time. So I was laying on the ground & I opened my eyes & saw a huge meteor. I said "The world is going to end" and closed my eyes because the meteor was right over me. Then the meteor landed and JUST missed me. Then I woke up.

The swimming was taking place in a body of water, not like a regular pool, but not unlike an ocean either.The body of water in this case, again is representing the World.
 It represents your niece as being a part of the World from a physical standpoint, but not really a part of it from a spiritual standpoint, because of the her relationship with the ladder, which I deal with below.
 The wave that appeared, then disappeared, and then reappeared again, represents illusions and delusions in this World which at one point appear real, only to be a fake; but behind the fake is something real; and his name is satan.
 In the dream, these satan inspired illusions and delusions will indeed become a reality in time.
 
  The "LADDER", which your niece climbed up was symbolic of "Jacobs Ladder", which is found in Genesis 28:12.And I might add, this is the only place in the Scripture, where the word "ladder'' is found.
 In Genesis 28:13, in his dream, Jacob sees the Lord God at the top in Heaven, as angels descends and ascends the ladder.
 And in John's Gospel, we read where the Lord Jesus tells Nathanael that he will see a Vision of angels ascending and descending on the top of His own head from Heaven.
 So in the Old Testament we see the Lord God at the top of the ladder in Heaven; while in the New Testament we see the Lord Jesus at the bottom of the ladder on Earth, and the angels ascending and or descending between the two points.
 
  So the long and short of it is that Jacobs Ladder is the Lord Jesus Himself.
 It is the Lord Jesus Himself who your niece uses (or she should), to separate herself from the World, and from the delusions and illusions that she has taken notice of in the World, that are fakes of a real and more evil reality.
 
  The meteor represents the judgment(s) that are coming, and representing the closing period of mans rule in this World, and which represents the ushering in of the actual and physical rulership of the Lord Jesus in this World.I might add, that a meteor has represented "judgment", going back through many civilizations throughout the ages.So your niece is seen warning the rest of her brood about what she sees, currently being as illusions and delusions, that is becoming or will become a reality.
 And of which at some point in time, the period for warning will be finished, and unexpected judgment will commence for those not ready or watching.
 The present delusion and illusion will suddenly become a reality; thus of the wave appearing and disappearing; and then reappearing once more and this time for real, and in tandem with the appearance of the meteor at almost the same time.
 In short; today's abstract talk and opinion; will one day become real and reality.......and final.
 
  A couple of more things to consider:
 (1) A black fragment of a meteor named "Kaba"; is known to be the Muslims most sacred enshrined object.
