Some things have been bothering me lately. The letter by Jim and others re shutting down Christian witnessing and taking over Christian organizations also hits home to me. Once strong Christian sects and organizations now totally secular though retaining the original Christian name, happens also to denominations. YMCA just didn't turn against God recently, it has been a slow change. In the early 70's there was a popular song called "YMCA" by the Village People, a homosexual group that touted YMCA as a place for young men to meet, and I don't mean for Christian purposes.

So also there are many Christians who are afraid of speaking for Christ because they are afraid of losing their job. I also face that. I wonder when some of us will take a stand. Are we waiting for something really bad to happen, or do we think we will check out first?Certainly it is a lack of faith because we have fear. Also it is probably an inability to think of others more important then ourselves. There is a beautiful song by Randy Stonehill that states that eloquently, "That's Why We Don't Love God."

Some of us need to take the plunge.
