Unfortunately one reality that we can not afford to ignore are demons. If we do not confront them we will be nuetralized and compromised. However if we focus too much on them we will also be incapacitated.
 
Demons make great hay by playing tricks in our mind and invading our thought life. One of the biggest deceptions is to make you think that you are guilty of every thought that pops into your mind. That your mind is you. That you are not saved because you are having bad thoughts. Of course I cant go to heaven because I have bad thoughts, what a lie that is. I do not have to worry about having bad thoughts in heaven becuase God has promised to deliver me from the flesh. My mind is flesh, just like any other organ. The scriture states that flesh can not enter heaven. So what is me? It is a new creature that has been risen with Christ. So why do I have bad thoughts? Because my mind is the flesh and it needs to be renewed by the washing of the word on an ongoing basis.
 
Chirstians can be tormented in the mind thru carelessness and lack of knowledge or unfortunate circumstance. But God has given us a way of escape. We must have fellowship, we must have wise council. The prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
But primarily knowing who you are in Christ and learning to disown the wicked thoughts and bringing them to Jesus. If you are a Christian and wicked thoughts dwell in you then they have come in from an unclean spirit, they are not you. You belong to Christ. Do not let the demons make you feel guilty and unworthy. Stop falling for their tricks.
