"Today's verse"
"Behold, I come quickly:
blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book."
Rev 22:7
This is John's verse for today, and it struck me to look
up the word "keepeth" in Strongs. Greek # 5083, teros, meaning a watch,
perhaps akin to 2334 TO DISCERN; also to guard ( from loss or injury by
keeping the eye upon)i.e. to note (a prophecy; fig. to fulfill a command);
by implication, to detain (in custody, fig. to maintain); by extension
to withhold (for personal ends; fig. to jkeep unmarried);- hold fast, keep,
serve, watch.
