"UPDATE ON MY HUSBAND'S & MY SON'S CONDITION"

I have some really good news about my husband's red blood cell count.  While Lee was at the cancer center yesterday morning receiving his 4th chemo therapy, his doctor told him his red blood cell count was now at 35.  When the doctor first saw him on 5/13, it was only at 20.  The doctor also said that the normal red blood cell is in the 40's.  Lee's Hodgkins lymphoma had involved his liver, spleen, lymph nodes and his bone marrow so it's really great news that his red blood cell is now 35 because it means his bone marrow is now producing new red blood cells.

We should know more after his third month of chemo therapy when they do another scan of his addomen to see if the tumor is gone or is reduced in size.  The doctor took him off his medication awhile back that prevented Lee from getting drenching night sweats which is another symptom of Hodgkins, and he is no longer having night sweats without the medicine which is another good sign as well.

Please continue to keep him in your prayers along with my son Darren.  Darren told me that the doctor's office said they didn't think he had a clogged carotoid artery, but since he did have a migraine headache with his numbness on one side of his head all the way down one arm, the doctor  had prescribed medication for his migraine headache to prevent a seizure because both a migraine and numbness can be a prelude to a seizure.  Although his migraine headache is finally gone, he told me last night that he still feels pressure on one side of his head. He is also under a lot of stress at work with having to work a lot of overtime hours due to men quitting.  One week he worked 10 hours overtime and another week he had to work 20 hours overtime in addition to his regular 40 hr. week.

Darren also has some type of urinary tract problem which causes him to urinate frequently at night which he has let go far too long without seeing a doctor with his excuse being that the last time he had a urinary tract infection the doctor kept switching his medicine due to his adverse reactions to each different medicines ( 2 or 3 different kinds) he had tried him on, and Darren ended up with his first brain seizure last year.  So please pray that he will take the time off from work to go see a doctor because a urinary tract infection can lead to serious kidney problems if they aren't dealt with.  Thanks again for your prayers.

God bless,
Donna
