Dear Susan,
 
I have also been going through our house getting rid of things that we don't need any more.  I gave bags and bags and bags and more bags of paperback books away to our local library to sell at their recent book sale.  I have also been going through our kitchen cabinets and getting rid of things we don't either us or need any more and took that stuff over to the Salvation Army thrift store to resell.   My husband said to me,  "The way you are cleaning the house looks as if someone is coming."  And I replied, "You're right! Jesus is coming." <G>
 
I think our cleaning house and getting rid of the things we don't need any more is an example of how our own spiritual house should be cleaned out so there is nothing in our life that the Lord doesn't want there.
