"COMMENT ABOUT JESUS AT PARLIAMENT
OF WORLD'S RELIGIONS"
Dear John & Doves,
I was just reading a 3 page article called "Religion's
Double Edged Sword" at http://www.canada.com/vancouver/vancouversun/columnists/story.html?id=95795494-d21b-4a77-99a2-9fd10346f887
about the recent Parliament of the World's Religions, and page 3 at http://www.canada.com/vancouver/vancouversun/columnists/story.html?id=95795494-d21b-4a77-99a2-9fd10346f887&page=3
states,
"The rare low points for Slobodian ( a student) at
the parliament came when upset individuals spoke out during workshops and
claimed authentic interfaith dialogue is impossible, or that only Jesus
was the route to salvation and all the other religions were false. "Sometimes
it seemed people here at the parliament were preaching to the converted
about the value of dialogue. But those negative comments reminded me why
these conferences are important. They reminded me that inter-religious
dialogue is still difficult for many people, perhaps most."
So it looks like this person is saying that anyone saying
that "only Jesus was the route to salvation and all other religions were
false" are "negative comments" when actually the truth is that only Jesus
is the only way to salvation and all other religions are false.
God bless,
Donna
