"Religious bullying"

Hi John,                                            Tuesday morning

Marie Komar makes so much sense to me where politics are concerned. Some have defined politics as war by other means in this fallen world.
Past experience leads me to believe that a third party candidacy is not going to have any effect except to drain off votes from one of the major parties. We know who uses the tactic "divide and conquer." We have in power right now a man who has proven that he is open to pray and receive counsel. Yes, he is human and yes we are always voting for the lesser of two evils, in Paul's case, the lesser of three evils. I think of the admonition to "Pray for those in power over you so that I can bless you through them." (Jer.27:9)
I didn't intend to religiously bully anyone. If that is who some think I am please forgive me for giving that impression.
In my Bible I believe that we have examples where God did delay his judgment, the city of Ninnevah comes to mind. God lives above human time, and though I believe that the rapture is in the next twelve months I am prepared to stay longer if our prayers back off that coming judgment for the sake of unsaved family.
There are two realistic political scenarios in my view and an unrealistic one.I will vote for the one I believe can win and continue to pray that my prayers make a difference and that he seeks God's will for this country. If citizens want to vote for a third party candidate they are free to do so.  Men I served with in Vietnam died to bring the kind of freedom to that nation we are privileged to presently enjoy though I don't know how they we can hold on to it. I look through a glass darkly and can't know the short term future, but I do see judgment heading in our direction whose momentum may be slowed down as it was in Ninnevah's case. Thank you, Lord, for the freedoms you have blessed American with. Let us be more responsible in using them.
   Sincerely,
