For you younguns who never felt what it was like back when the
United States population was favorable to God and spiritual things,
download this MP3 of an old mike recording of what a TV signify sounded
like in the fifties.  It is in MP3 format because it is too long to post
as wav file for email to carry.
    You will be in for quite a pleasant surprise.  While this has poor
fidelity, you will get the point.  Combined with this was beautiful
motion picture photography of a sleek fighter jet going up in the
clouds.  NEVER did watching it not bring tears to my eyes.  Each and
every time.
