"Reply re David Campbell attack on Warnig to Prophets"

David Campbell is a valuable member of the Doves who has made many, many great contributions to the Five Doves, and I don't intend this to disparage him but just to disagree with his thoughts concerning the Warning to Prophets word I ran across I thought was very deep, thoughtful, and sounded to me as coming from the Lord.

At first I could not grasp where he was coming from, was he attacking this Word as not genuine  because it didn't specify searching Scripture or reference Scripture  with each passing point it made.  If so, it seemed to me he was setting up a straw man and throwing arrows at it, because this Word was not a Prophecy from the Lord about future happenings, but a Warning directed specifically to those who attempt to practice the prophetic gift for them to be wait on the Lord for a genuine Word and not presume His Word and Will.

Most specific prophetic utterances and most all general utterances can be examined and found not to contradict Scripture per se.  A prophecy touting Y2K disaster(s) does not inherently contain statements contrary to Scripture, for instance.

But then comes Dave with a let go blasting of all modern day prophetic utterances as being false and not from the Lord.  He assumes the Baptist "See what my Lord could do" stance [grin], a blanket disparaging anything uttered today as not being from the Lord because the prophetic gifts "ceased" when "that which is Perfect" was revealed - in their interpretation of this verse - with the finalization of the Bible.   Those who believe thus in effect turn God into a Divine Mime Who only communicates by pointing back in time over  His shoulder to Scripture completed 2000 years ago. In doing this these congregations severely hamper the harvest of souls to salvation and rescue from Eternal Death.

This stance I strongly oppose, having seen with my own eyes the move of God in Real Time acting as a Supernatural Being ---supernaturally.  I will deal with examples I have witnessed in the next post of mine, but with to close with a link to a Let Fly (not only a Let Go) post I erupted in a fit a spleenic outrage some time back in frustration with the prevalence of unbelief in America.
The outrage was directed at groups in general and not specific person such as Dave whom I respect greatly.

"RE the mockers Jim mentions"

I can understand Jim's frustration with these people who seem to send emails behind someone's back attacking him to others off site in the dark.
They make up a large group of people who are always viewing with alarm not the actions of nonbelievers about them in the rotten society that surrounds them, but the actions of fellow Christians:  The Disbelieving Thought Police (well here I go, might as really let fly) constantly on the lookout for those who dare to manifest any smidgen of childlike trust and faith that God is actually a Supernatural Being who does things supernaturally.
ANY statement by a believer who has the nerve to post that the Lord spoke to them or showed or revealed to them ANYTHING is suspect.  For the countries in which they reside, They try to encase the Holy Spirit in a sort of pyroclastic mold in which HE is totally unable do anything because doing so means a supernatural act being performed in real time TODAY, and that, friends is a big No- No.  Sort of like Hans Solo in the movie, Return of the Jedi, where he is encased in a impregnable clear plastic total body masque unable to move a millimeter.
The Supernatural.  Movement in the supernatural.  Moving in the Spirit.  Responding to the Spirit.  Trusting and believing in the Spirit....Their denomination doesn't teach it.  There is nothing in their church history in which it has ever occurred.  They themselves have most certainly never experienced it nor do they know of anyone if their dead church circles who have ever experienced such weirdness, therefore why should anyone else experience it!  Unless it is by DECEPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If we as Christians are to fixate on judging each other instead of speaking out to nonbelievers, I really feel led by the Spirit (sorry!) to give the following warning, and warning it is, baby:
What will be judged and punished quite harshly in Christians is Disbelief or Unbelief.  The Lord is and will be most angry at our lack of bearing fruit because of our unbelief,  in the Western world, particularly.
Why?  Why is our unbelief so harmful?  Because Christians respond to pressure of their peers just like any other group, and when we have church leaders and teachers who cast doubt and disparage God's moving in the Supernatural TODAY, this results in a dampening of faith through a perverse manipulation of our pride.  We don't want to look or be different or thought of as unusual or weird or deceived. And what is the end result of this?  Paralysis of thought, will,  and effort.
There is a big reason that we don't see all the fantastic miracles occurring in, say, the U.S., Britain, or Canada that occur with increasing regularity in Mexico, and, particularly, Africa---our timid Unbelief created by our disbelieving churches and teachers.
So, in the United States, for example, there is no turning of an entire town to the Lord because there is no mighty Miracle to awaken the unsaved to the reality of the Supernatural.  There is no miracle because there is no faith and trust that such can occur, really.  There is no faith because there IS Unbelief destroying any spark of faith.  There is Unbelief because it is created and sewn by some members of the Body of Christ.

Those Doubt Casters' chance of escaping severe rebuke (missing the Rapture or even damnation, or who knows what) can be written on the head of a pin in six-inch letters.
