THE GOG-MAGOG WAR vs. THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON......
The Gog-Magog War and the Battle of Armageddon are two DISTINCTLY DIFFERENT future prophetic events. The Gog-Magog War BEGINS the Great Tribulation upon Israel BEFORE the resurrection/rapture of the Body of Christ Church. The Battle of Armageddon ENDS the world-wide Great Tribulation AFTER the resurrection/rapture of the Body of Christ Church. The Battle of Armageddon happens in conjunction with the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus in Israel.
THE GOG-MAGOG WAR marks the BEGINNING of the Great Tribulation judgment upon ONLY ISRAEL , FIRST BEFORE the resurrection /rapture of the Body of Christ Church according to :
Ezekiel 38:15-16 ( This is how the Gog-Magog War begins )
"And thou ( Gog ) shall come thy place OUT OF THE NORTH PARTS ........And thou shall come up against My people of Israel ....it shall be IN THE LATTER DAYS that I will bring thee against My land SO THAT THE GENTILES MAY KNOW ME when I shall be sanctified in thee, O' GOG, BEFORE THEIR EYES."
Ezekiel 38:21-22 ( This is how the Gog-Magog War ends )
"And I will call for a SWORD AGAINST HIM ( Gog ) throughout all My mountains, saith the Lord God , EVERY MAN'S SWORD SHALL BE AGAINST HIS BROTHER. And I will plead against him ( Gog ) with pestilence , and with blood, and I will rain upon him ( Gog ) and upon his ( Gog's ) bands , and upon THE MANY PEOPLE THAT ARE WITH HIM ( Magog ) an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire and brimstone ..."
Ezekiel 39:2 ( God leaves some survivors of the Gog-Magog Armies )
"And I will turn thee ( Gog ) back , and LEAVE BUT THE SIXTH PART OF THEE ( Gog-Magog ) of whom I will cause to come from THE NORTH PARTS and bring thee upon the mountains of Israel."
NOTICE how God defeats the GOG-MAGOG ARMIES by turning them against each other with THEIR OWN SWORDS, and with natural disasters like pestilence, blood, overflowing rain, hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Also notice that God leaves one-sixth ( 1/6 ) survivors after killing five-sixths ( 5/6 ) of the Gog-Magog armies. This scenario is much different than the Battle of Armageddon.
THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON marks the END of the Great Tribulation judgment upon the WHOLE WORLD , and is in conjunction with the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ according to :
Revelation 16:12-17
"And the SIXTH ANGEL poured out his vial .......and I saw three unclean spirits ....which go forth unto the kings of the earth , and OF THE WHOLE WORLD TO GATHER THEM TO THE BATTLE OF THAT GREAT DAY of God almighty. And He gathered them together to a place called , in the Hebrew tongue, ARMAGEDDON.......And the SEVENTH ANGEL poured out his vial into the air, and there came A GREAT VOICE ( the voice of God ) out of the temple of heaven saying, IT IS DONE , "
Revelation 17:14
"These shall make WAR WITH THE LAMB , and THE LAMB SHALL OVERCOME THEM for He is Lord of Lords, and King of Kings ; and THEY THAT ARE WITH HIM are called CHOSEN AND FAITHFUL ."
Revelation 19:19-21
"And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered together TO MAKE WAR AGAINST HIM ( Jesus ) that sat on the horse, and against His army ( His raptured Church ). And the remnant WERE SLAIN WITH THE SWORD OF HIM that sat upon the horse , THE SWORD ( the WORD OF GOD ) that proceeds out of His mouth."
NOTICE how God defeats the NATIONS OF THE WORLD at the Battle of Armageddon by only the SWORD OF HIS MOUTH, which is the Word of God. There is no mention of survivors at the Battle of Armageddon. This scenario is much different than the Gog-Magog War.
SO, THERE YOU HAVE IT :
The nations from OUT OF THE NORTH of Israel come for the Gog-Magog War upon Israel which happens AT THE BEGINNING of the Great Tribulation BEFORE the resurrection/rapture of His Body of Christ Church.
The nations from THE WHOLE WORLD come for the Battle of Armageddon which happens AT THE END of the Great Tribulation upon the whole world AFTER the resurrection/rapture of the Church. IT BEGINS AT THE END of the SIXTH ANGEL'S judgment , and IT ENDS at THE END of the SEVENTH ANGEL'S judgment . Jesus is accompanied by His PREVIOUSLY RAPTURED Body of Christ Church at the time He defeats ALL THE NATIONS OF THE WHOLE WORLD at the Battle of Armageddon which ends the Great Tribulation of the whole world.
The Gog-Magog War , which BEGINS the Great Tribulation upon Israel BEFORE the resurrection/rapture of the Church , is completely different than the Battle of Armageddon that ENDS the Great Tribulation upon the whole world are two entirely different prophetic events with entirely different purposes.
