When John , the Revelator, is called to heaven  by God saying ,  "Come up  hither", there is nowhere in the Book of Revelation  directing him to return to earth to measure an earthly temple. It is the temple in heaven that John is directed to measure. 

 

In Rev 10:11 John is directed to prophesy AGAIN about the Great Multitude of Gentiles already in heaven about which he had prophesied BEFORE in Rev 7:9. Therefore the Gentiles spoken of in Rev 11:2 are the same Gentiles spoken of in BOTH  Rev 10:11 and Rev 7:9 . 

 

The original 1611 King James Bible uses the words "tread underfoot " in Rev 11:2 . The Gentiles in Rev 7:9 are "standing" before the throne, therefore our glorified bodies in heaven have feet to "tread underfoot" in the outer court of the temple in heaven for the forty-two months of the Great Tribulation on earth before we return with the Lord at His Second Coming. 

 

SO, THERE YOU HAVE IT : 

 

The Gentiles spoken of In Rev 11:2 are also the very same Great Multitude of raptured Gentiles, ie  the raptured Church,  also spoken of in Rev 7:9 and Rev 10:11.
