Floods, Thunderstorms, Tornadoes and Fire in Australia!
Signs, signs, everywhere are signs (of His Coming!)
Many Doves may not be aware of the continuing ravages of nature happening now in Australia - signs of His Coming and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. In the past ten days or so there has been widespread and, in some cases, record rain and flooding across most of North and Eastern Queensland - and the rain is continuing. Some localities have received 500 millimetres (20 inches) of rain in a day, and 1000 millimetres (40 inches in two days). Even more in a few instances! There have also been very strong winds and several tornadoes - tornadoes are quite rare in Australia. The rain is the result of an ex-tropical cyclone Oscar that moved initially across Far North Queensland before making its way down the East Coast of Queensland, and is now moving into New South Wales. News on this is available on the national broadcaster website (www.abc.net.au). There are still some bushfires burning, although this threat has eased.

The pattern of fire, thunderstorms and floods is reminiscent of Elijah, so I have also added selected quotes from the Day of Elijah song (end of letter).

(A) Breaking with a vengeance: in the first letter I commented that Australia was experiencing a widespread, hot and dry Summer and this may end with a vengeance. Well, in Queensland and Northern/Central New South Wales this has happened - with a vengeance!
(B) Canberra thunderstorm: in my second letter, I recalled a severe thunderstorm in Canberra 42 years ago on Australia Day (26 January 1971). Almost as if on (Divine) cue, another severe thunderstorm rolled into Canberra on Australia Day 2013 - to the day, almost to the hour (42 is the number for the 2nd Coming!). Where I live, we went from virtually no rain in many weeks to 70 millimetres (almost three inches) in just a few hours! The culverts/drains were flooded!

This was the headline on the front page of the Weekend Australian on Saturday 19 January 2013! Alongside this (right next to) was an article on the Middle East calling for speeding up a two state (Israel/Palestine) solution in the Middle East. What timing - as Australia does to Israel! The Middle East article was based on a joint Australian and United Kingdom Ministerial Communique (excerpt and link below), released on 18 January 2013.
Just as these Australian/UK Ministerial discussions were coming to an end, on 17 January2013 a tropical low formed near the coast of Northern Australia - this is the weather system that developed into Tropical Cyclone Oscar and brought the widespread flooding to Queensland and (now) New South Australia.
