Hello Doves!! I just had the most amazing revelation that I just have to share. You might not see as much in it as I do, or you may already have received this yourself, but I am hopeful this blesses someone else's heart!
This is also very very encouraging for all of those who still struggle to truly understand who you really are in Christ Jesus. This is just amazing.
Hopefully, we all now know and understand that we are chosen by God -- foreknown by Him and specifically created and selected to be a recipient of His wondrous grace through His son, Jesus Christ. If that is not enough to boggle the human mind, there is actually more to this ...
God, our Father, also created objects of wrath in addition to His chosen. These objects of wrath are destined for judgment (this breaks my heart) and were also specifically created and chosen to serve a purpose. He endured the agony of creating them, fully knowing they would offend Him and be doomed to eternal destruction, for His own reasons, but for one in particular.... so that he may show us, His chosen elect, His glory and power!!! Throughout our lives as the Holy Spirit molds us and grows us and conforms us more and more into the image of our wonderful King, the Son of God, the objects of wrath are used in some form throughout this process to accomplish this in each and every one of us. We don't know all of the exact purposes they serve, but we do know that God did this thing that we cannot comprehend in order to prepare us for His kingdom and to shower the riches of His glory on us! Do you actually grasp this??!!
Here is the scripture that supports this: What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much long-suffering the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He has prepared beforehand for the glory, even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? (Romans 9:22-24) (Note: This entire chapter -- chapter 9 -- explains and supports this in more detail.)
I know that this overall topic of "predestination" is not the most popular topic, and it has been known to offend many; however, it is sprinkled all throughout the Word of God and is irrefutable. I am completely overwhelmed that God loves us to the degree that He would lose some of His own creation to save those He has chosen - those on whom He will lavish His love for all of eternity. While my heart is in awe and overflows with thanksgiving, I have to say that I hurt for those who are not chosen. I realize how easily I could have not been chosen, and this keeps me humble and in a constant state of gratitude towards a God who is so sovereign and full of grace towards His own.
I still cannot comprehend this.... but one thing that I do know for sure... I am His, and He will never leave me nor forsake me. The overall price He has paid to redeem me and sanctify me is greater than I ever imagined.
