"Re: Mathman "Could
the President be the Sign of Jonah?""
Mathman,
Great posts.
I immediately thought of the parable of the barren fig tree as I
read your Jonah post. I believe both stories refer to Israel.
Luk 13:7 Then said he unto the dresser of his
vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this
fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the
ground?
Luk 13:8 And he answering said unto him, Lord,
let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung
[it]:
Luk 13:9 And if it bear fruit, [well]: and if
not, [then] after that thou shalt cut it down.
Since we agree that the fig tree is Israel this parable begins
to make sense.I always had trouble pinpointing the start date
for this parable.
“Three Days” represents the three year period from October 29,
2008 until now as you wrote. (2008, 2009, 2010). Lettimg it
alone this year also would be the year 2011 by inclusive
reconing. We are now in 2012 and it is time for Israel to be cut
down for they produced no fruit for Jesus Christ. What do
you think?
Blessing,
