Tony Evans has a great book on Bible Prophecy....read it years ago.....but, BEFORE he gets into Prophecy.... he talks about WHY WE ARE HERE.  Can't find my copy of the book...may have to buy it again....
 
BUT, I THOUGHT IT WAS INCREDIBLE INSIGHT as to why WE (humans) are here in the first place.
 
From memory:  Humans were created, as being LESS than angels.....in order to SHOW THE DEVIL that lesser beings COULD/WOULD STILL CHOOSE GOD, even through free will.......humans would KNOW BETTER than to break away from God, as Lucifer did when he was a top angel in heaven.
 
Bad paraphrase, from memory....but it makes ALOT of sense to me......and THAT would be the BIG PICTURE from God's chair.  That humans could find Salvation through Jesus Christ, the Son of God...who would one day die for ALL OF OUR SIns on the cross..
 
Anyway....I always thought "wouldn't it be incredible is ALOT of Radio and TV Preachers would ALL be preaching about the End Times, Bible Prophecy and the Return of Jesus Christ, starting with the Pre-Trib Rapture.....JUST before the Rapture.....   we can hope!!!    BTW, since we are now in 2012.......there might be ALOT of preaching on Bible Prophecy, End Times and the Rapture this year.......  We'll see...
