"How close are we to the Lord's coming?"

Are there any clues that we might see the Lord come soon, other than the war in the middle East.  I have not heard from you in a long time and wonder what is going on with you.
Stay in touch!
Blessing,  Lyle

Lyle, it all depends upon the parable of the fig tree, and what exactly "all these things shall come upon this GENERATION" means.  2012 + 7 = 2019.  But with the shortening of the Great Tribulation (last 3 1/2 years of the 7 year Tribulation)-----see Matt. 24:21 & 22 and Rev. 8:12----the days of the Great Tribulation are shortened by one third.  So, by our present time standard the Great Tribulation will be shortened by one third of 3 1/2 years, which is 1 year and 2 months.  Therefore 2019 would be 2018 by our current time standard.  2018 is exactly 70 years after 1948, so MAYBE this year (2012) will be the year of the Rapture.  As you know, 70 is a number that appears throughout the Bible!  From the time Jesus was born until the Jewish people were scattered to the nations in 70 AD was right around 70 years!  And the parable of the fig tree in Mark 11 deals with that time period in history!  It all depends again on what a "generation" means for these End Times.  Although I do not like to think of this, one possibility is how long a baby can live from 1948.  If that was the case, then the Rapture could be in the 2020's, 2030's, or even 2040's on the high end!  Hopefully this will not be the case.  The war brewing in the Middle East I think is going to be the "sudden destruction" event associated with the Rapture, which means the Rapture would have to be soon.  Again, I am thinking about Rosh Hashanah of this year, which is now just 8 months away.  Rosh Hashanah is the Jewish feast most closely associated with the Rapture.  Spring is always a secondary possibility, as in the Song of Solomon the bridegroom comes to get his bride in the spring of the year.

Hope you are doing well!
Neil (alias Chester the Rapture Ready Rodent)

P.S.  I am sure you will not mind that I am sending this e-mail to a few other "prophecy friends" on the "blind carbon copy".  This way I do not have to retype it!  And as you know, rodents are very slow at typing-----you ought to see my paws!

P.P.S.  Our country and Europe are facing a financial disaster with all of the debt, and this too will likely be associated with the Rapture.  The U.S. Supreme Court will rule by summer whether or not Fox, ABC, NBC, CBS can bring nudity and even more cussing to evening programming.  If they rule in favor of the networks, widespread nudity and lots and lots of cussing could be starting this fall, perhaps just in time for the Tribulation!  I just saw a video someone sent me of some sitcom with two male gay parents with a two year old adopted daughter, and the two year old cusses on the sitcom!  TV programming is going to get raunchier and raunchier as we approach the Rapture!  Also, one of the last things to befall a nation, empire, or civilization right before its downfall is the gay movement moving to mainstream.  This has happened in America, indicating that it is closing time!  A high school very near our house sponsors a "gay club" within the confines of the school!  Instead of viewing the gay lifestyle as sin as the Bible shows it to be, it is lifted up as an "alternate" lifestyle that should be respected!  Make no mistake about it, God's wrath is about to be poured out on this sin-ridden world!

P.P.P.S.  Sadly, very few Christians know what is really in their Bibles (they prefer the garbage of the humanism that their pastors feed them on Sundays with very limited watered down scripture to go with the humanism), and they do not know that we are living in the End Times as dictated by scripture!  And "people-pleasing" pastors abound in our society, not wanting to offend anyone from their pulpit!  After all, there are building funds that need money, and if a congregant is offended they will likely leave the church, and less money will be coming in!  There are very, very few God-pleasing pastors out there!  If Daniel or Ezekiel or Noah were living today, they would mince no words about the truth of the scripture of the Bible!  And they would not fear what humans would think!
