"JR (17 Jan 2012)  Harbinger & Destroyed Prophetic Cypress, Sycamore Trees"

Hi JR,

Greetings in the Lord Jesus' name. I read your article and the story of the Senator Cypress tree. Did you know of the death of a tree located in the concrete canyons of NYNY at Ground Zero? It's another wonderful confirmation that Jesus's in complete control of our destiny as individuals, communities, nations and peoples. I hope you and other Dove's enjoy this powerful demonstration of God's power and truth. Look up, for your redemption draws near.

                                                               Your Servant,

                                                                                  Mike Curtiss

SIDHello, Sid Roth here. Welcome to my world where it’s naturally supernatural. I want to read a little to you from our most recent newsletter. “Is it possible that there exists an ancient mystery in which is hidden the secret of America’s future? Is it possible this mystery lies behind everything, from 9/11 to the war in Iraq, to the American housing bubble, and it’s bursting to the crash of Wall Street and the global economy, to the great recession, and much more, even to the President of the United States?” Now there’s a Messianic Jewish rabbi who lives right outside of New York City that went to the grounds of 9/11 after that horrific event occurred. And let me read you a quote by him. “As I was standing at the edge of Ground Zero, I came across the first puzzle piece of an ancient biblical mystery and a prophetic message known as “The Harbinger” that concerns the future of America.” I have Rabbi Jonathan Cahn here. And Jonathan, you use a word, and I want to understand what you mean by it, “harbinger”. What do you mean?
JONATHAN: A harbinger is a sign, an omen, or a foreshadow of something that is yet to come. It can be a harbinger of something good, usually a harbinger of something that you take warning in, a harbinger of judgment in this case. That’s exactly what it is.
SID: And the thing that is so stunning is that point by point, the Holy Spirit revealed to Jonathan that the pattern that happened to Israel is happening to the United States of America. And he found nine harbingers, nine warning signs. Jonathan, how important is this revelation at this moment in history?
JONATHAN: I think it couldn’t be more important because God gives signs to a nation warning it of judgment. And God is calling America. America is in danger by these harbingers. It’s a warning. It’s to save the nation. But it’s a sign that we are in a very dangerous period.
SID: Briefly, tell me what happened to Israel at the time of this prophecy? It’s Isaiah 9:10.
JONATHAN: Yes. That’s going to be the key, Isaiah 9:10 is the key of the harbingers. Ancient Israel was founded by God. It was blessed by God, but it turned away. It rebelled against Him. It drove Him out of its life. And what happened is God sent prophets to them and he called them, warned them. Finally, He did something to shake them up as a wake-up call, and He withdrew their hedge of national protection. He lifted it up. It was temporary, but He lifted it up, that an enemy struck the land and inflicted damage, traumatized the nation. But it was temporary. It was limited. They withdrew and then there was normalcy. It was to wake them up, a wake-up call. But they did not wake up. They chose to keep defying God. Instead of repenting, turning back to God, they became even more defiant and they made a vow, and that vow is Isaiah 9:10. They said this: “The bricks have fallen, but we will rebuild with hune stone. The sycamores have been cut down, but we will plant cedars in their place.” And what that meant was we’re not going to be humbled. We’re not going to turn back. We’re going to continue away from God. In fact, we’re going to come back even stronger. We’re going to replace weaker things with stronger things.
SID: It’s like a defiant spirit.
JONATHAN: Exactly. You said it. The commentaries on this always use that same word. They say, “They breathed the spirit of defiance.” Exactly!
SID: Okay. But that was ancient Israel. And warning after warning, I can almost feel God’s heart saying, “I do not want to see you destroyed. You’re my first-born. Please heed the warnings.” But Jonathan, why did you feel that this was a warning, a prototype, if you will, for the United States of America?
JONATHAN: Ancient Israel did not turn and they were destroyed. So now, we have America. America was also founded on God’s Word. It was founded to fulfill His purpose. America has also turned, been turning and turning more and more rapidly away from God and His ways. God in His mercy calls out to a nation, and if it doesn’t respond, the callings get more severe. What happened now is the first harbinger, or the first thing that happened was the breach, was that lifting up of the national security, allowing an enemy to strike the land, a wake-up call.
SID: You’re talking about 9/11.
JONATHAN: Now, yes. That was for ancient Israel. Now, God did it with America. That happened exactly on September 11, 2001. The national defense of America, the hedge was lifted up. He allowed an enemy to strike. Same way, limited scope, limited time, traumatized the nation, a wake-up call. 9/11 was an alarm seeking to save America from the road it’s going on.
SID: Okay. So the progressive judgments were nine harbingers, nine warnings. Let’s talk about one: the Gazette Stone.
JONATHAN: Okay. This is what happened. And you look at the key of Isaiah 9:10. It says, “The bricks have fallen, but we will replace them with hune stone In Hebrew it’s the word “gazette”. Gazette means “cut, quarried, taken out of mountain rock”. It’s a strong thing. They made it into a big rectangular mass of stone. What they were saying is there was a destruction, and it was clay bricks, but we’re going to come back stronger as a nation. So we’re going to take a stronger thing. We’re going build higher and bigger, and better. So what they did is they took these gazette stones. They went to the quarries in the mountains, cut it out, brought it back to the ground of destruction where the bricks had fallen, and there they vowed, “With this, we’re going to rebuild a nation;” a sign of defiance.
SID: Okay. That’s Israel. What about America?
JONATHAN: Well that’s the thing. This is what happened. After 9/11, in New York, they went to the mountains. They quarried out a rock, a 20-ton rectangular block. According to the harbinger, it has to be brought back to the ground of destruction. They bring it to New York City, bring it to Ground Zero; place it on the pavement of Ground Zero. They have a ceremony around the stone. They have leaders there: governor of New York, governor of New Jersey, the mayor. They pronounce vows of defiance over the stone. They say, “This stone of America is going to come back stronger than ever. We’re going to rebuild.” In fact, you said it before, the spirit of defiance. That’s what the commentaries say about this. The governor of New York actually says, “We are the heirs of the spirit of defiance and we lay this stone.”
SID: And he used the word “defiant”?
JONATHAN: Not just defiant. He used the words “spirit of defiance.” We said, “We are the spirit of defiance.” You see this over and over again.
SID: If there was just one parallel between Israel, and what happened to them and their eventual destruction and one parallel with the United States, we might say, so what. But there are nine harbingers with progressive judgments. This may be, no, this is the most important prophetic show you will ever see. We’ll be back right after this word.

Americans scrambling to Bible to see previously untold parallels with today

What do sycamore and cedar trees have to do with biblical prophecy, the tragic events of 9/11 and the imminent future of the United States?

The roots of a sycamore tree at Ground Zero felled on Sept. 11, 2001, have been preserved as a memorial to the event in New York City. A local messianic rabbi believes it's a visible fulfillment of an Old Testament prophecy about God's current judgment on America.

Everything, according to a new book which says an obscure text from the Old Testamentprophet Isaiah is an urgent wake-up call for all Americans in light of what happened on that fateful day in 2001.
"The Harbinger" by Jonathan Cahn, a messianic rabbi from the Jerusalem Center-Beth Israel Congregation in Wayne, N.J., deciphers stunning connections between what some may think is a cryptic biblical prophecy to the news events happening right now, in our current time.
The key verse in question is Isaiah 9:10, which states: "The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars." (King James Version)
These words were first uttered by leaders in ancient Israel and in response to a limited strike by Assyria on the lands of Zebulun and Naphtali – an attack the prophet makes clear is actually part of a limited judgment by God against apostasy. It wasn't meant to destroy the nation, but to awaken it, according to most commentaries.
Historically speaking, the northern kingdom of Israel did not repent of its rebellion against God's commandments, and were eventually conquered and deported from their property by the ancient Assyrians. Eventually, the southern kingdom of Judah was also overcome by the Babylonians after the Jews refused to repent as well.
But in "The Harbinger," Cahn shows uncanny similarities between what's stated in Isaiah 9:10 to the 21st century events of 9/11 and the years afterward, suggesting America is currently under a time of focused judgment by Almighty God.

Cahn claims the part of the prophecy noting "The bricks are fallen down" refers directly to the crumbling of the World Trade Center in New York City, with the verse connoting on an attitude of defiance, a desire to rebuild with stronger materials instead of acknowledging the hand of God and moving toward national repentance.
The verse mentions sycamore and cedar trees, and it's here that things start to get eerie with the terrorist attack involving planes that smashed into the Twin Towers, leading to their eventual crumbling.
"After the cloud of dust began to clear, police officers, rescue workers and onlookers gazed at the little plot of land at the edge of Ground Zero," Cahn writes in "The Harbinger."
"There in the middle of the ash and debris that covered the ground was a fallen tree. It would soon become a symbol of 9/11 and of Ground Zero. And it was a symbol ... but one much more ancient than anyone there could have realized, and one carrying a message no one could have fathomed."
"The tree at Ground Zero that was struck down on September 11 was a sycamore tree."
Cahn notes that in Old Testament times, the Assyrians who attacked the ancient Israelites intended to cut down the sycamore trees belonging to God's people. But the intention was not present with the hijackers of 2001.
"The terrorists had no idea of Isaiah 9:10, no idea of the Harbingers, no idea of the sycamore tree growing at the corner of Ground Zero, and no idea that their attack would cause it to fall or that its fall was connected to an ancient prophecy. They had no idea ... but it still happened."
Not only was a sycamore tree struck on 9/11, but it was replaced in the exact same location by another tree of the type mentioned in the original Hebrew, an "erez" tree, which is the same genus as the cedar.

The uprooted sycamore tree from Ground Zero was replaced by the "Tree of Hope," a conifer tree which Rabbi Jonathan Cahn says fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah 9:10.
"The most natural thing to have done would have been to replace one sycamore with another," Cahn writes. "But the prophecy required that the fallen sycamore be replaced with a tree of an entirely different nature. So the tree that replaced the sycamore of Ground Zero was likewise not a sycamore. According to the prophecy, the sycamore must be replaced by the biblical erez. So it must be replaced by a conifer tree."
And that's what took place in 2003, as a conifer tree, the "Tree of Hope" as it was called, was planted in the spot where the sycamore was slammed on 9/11.
"Think about it," says Cahn. "Who could have put it all together? The tower fell because of the terrorists. It happened to fall exactly as it did in order to strike down that one particular tree. The tree just happened to be a sycamore, which just happened to be growing at the corner of Ground Zero.
"The tree that would replace it just happened to be given as a gift from outsiders who had nothing to do with anything else, but who just happened to feel led to give it. Their gift just happened to be the fulfillment of the biblical Erez Tree, which just happened to be the same tree spoken of in the ancient vow – the tree that must replace the Sycamore.
"They just happened to lower it into the same soil in that the fallen Sycamore had once stood – exactly as in the Hebrew of the ancient vow. And the man who led the ceremony around the tree just happened to bring it all together without knowing that he was bringing anything together. No one knew what they were doing. It wasn't a matter of intent. It was a manifestation of the Harbingers."
"The parallels are truly stunning," says Joseph Farah, founder of WND, who is producing a video documentary about Cahn's findings. "They are too numerous and too powerful to relate in news story form. In fact, they are overwhelming in their number and their exactitude. I am persuaded God is trying to tell America something and Rabbi Cahn has found the key to unlocking the message."
As WND previously reported, two major American political figures actually voiced the Isaiah 9:10 prophecy in public in the immediate wake of the 9/11 onslaught.
"In the aftermath of the attack, the nation was stunned," said Cahn, "Everyone was trying to make sense of what had happened – this unprecedented attack on America. The very next day, September 12, then Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle presented America's response to the world. And what did he say?"
Daschle said: "America will emerge from this tragedy as we have emerged from all adversity – united and strong. Nothing … nothing can replace the losses of those who have suffered. I know there is only the smallest measure of inspiration that can be taken from this devastation. But there is a passage inthe Bible from Isaiah that speaks to all of us at times like this."
