From: Marilyn AgeeRe: Kevin Drake (20 Dec 2011)"Jacob's Trouble and the 70th Week: 20 years or 21 years...Or Both?"Hi:To me, the Time of Jacob's Trouble is one literal day. Why? For one thing, no other day is like it. For another, it is the Day of God's Wrath. Let's just look at some verses. To me, it is plain.
Jer 30:7 says, "Alas! for THAT DAY (i.e., one particular 24-hour day) is great, so that NONE IS LIKE IT: it is even THE TIME OF JACOB'S TROUBLE; but HE SHALL BE SAVED OUT OF IT."
Dan 12:1,2 says of the Time of Jacob's Trouble, "And at that time (i.e., when the False Prophet shall be deposed, Dan 11:45) shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be A TIME OF TROUBLE (i.e., Jacob's Trouble), SUCH AS NEVER WAS SINCE THERE WAS A NATION even to that same time: and AT THAT TIME THY PEOPLE (i.e., the 144,000 Israelites) SHALL BE DELIVERED (i.e., raptured, Rev 7), every one that shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake".
Look at Rev 6:17 and some verses in Rev 7.
Rev 6:17: "For THE GREAT DAY (i.e., one day) OF HIS WRATH IS COME; and who shall be able to stand?
Rev 7:3: "Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
Rev 7:4: "And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
(This is the Last-Trump Rapture of I Cor 15:51-54.)
Rev 7:9: "After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne (i.e., in Heaven), and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
Rev 7:10: "And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb."
Rev 7:13: "And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?
Rev 7:14: "And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, THESE ARE THEY WHICH CAME OUT OF GREAT TRIBULATION, and have WASHED THEIR ROBES, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Rev 7:15: "Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them."
