I believe that the simultaneous “sudden destruction/rapture” event Ron Reese and others are looking for in 1 Thessalonians 5:3 has nothing to do with the “Day of Islam” or an attack on the United States.

Although I do believe that attack will take place sometime between August 9 and October 11, 2012, some five to seven months BEFORE THE TRUE 'destruction/redemption', when I believe a decision will be made by He who is withholding, to take away the “rider on the black horse” with His “storm of the LORD” so the “lawless one” who rides the “pale horse” can be revealed on March 25, 2013.

Remember in Revelation 12:9-10 he and his angels come in the storm after they have been cast out of heaven. What many overlook is the fact that the Messiah comes in above the storm and becomes that “great shepherd" of the flock in the wilderness.

Revelation 12:9 The great dragon was thrown out, that ancient serpent, also known as the Devil and Satan [the Adversary], the deceiver of the whole world. He was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. 10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, "NOW HAVE COME God's victory, power and kingship, AND THE AUTHORITY OF HIS MESSIAH; BECAUSE THE ACCUSER of our brothers, who accuses them day and night before God, HAS BEEN THROWN OUT!

There is no need for the Messiah to remain standing at the right hand of the Father as an ‘advocate’ rebuking the accusations being brought to him by Satan, if he has been thrown out!

Here are a couple of “storm of the LORD” texts that we, according to Jeremiah 23:19-20 and Jeremiah 30:23-24 are all to understand perfectly here in the last days.

Isaiah 28:1 Woe, to the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim, and the fading flower of its glorious beauty, which is on the head of the rich valley of those overcome with wine! 2 Behold, the Lord has a mighty and strong one like A STORM of hail, a destroying tempest, like A STORM of mighty, overflowing waters, he casts down to the earth with his hand.

3 The proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim WILL BE TRODDEN UNDERFOOT; 4 and the fading flower of its glorious beauty, which is on the head of the rich valley, will be like a first-ripe fig before the summer: when someone sees it, he swallows it as soon as it is in his hand. 5 In that day the LORD of hosts will be a crown of glory, and a diadem of beauty, to the remnant of his people, 6 and a spirit of justice to him who sits in judgment, and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate. (a great cross reference, read Isaiah 11:10-16 and Ezekiel 20:33-38)

Isaiah 18:1 Woe, to the land of whirring wings that is beyond the rivers of Cush, (USA) 5 For before the harvest, when the blossom is over, and the flower becomes a ripening grape, he cuts off the shoots with pruning hooks, and the spreading branches he lops off and clears away. 6 They shall all of them be left to the birds of prey of the mountains and to the beasts of the earth.

And the birds of prey will summer on them, and all the beasts of the earth will winter on them. 7 At that time a gift of homage will be brought to the LORD of hosts from a people tall and smooth, from a people feared near and far, a nation mighty and conquering, whose land the rivers divide, to Mount Zion, the place of the name of the LORD of hosts.

Zephaniah 3:8 "Therefore wait for me," declares the LORD, "for the day when I rise up to seize the prey. For my decision is to gather nations, to assemble kingdoms, to pour out upon them my indignation, all my burning anger; for in the fire of my jealousy all the earth shall be consumed.

9 "For at that time I will change the speech of the peoples to a pure speech, that all of them may call upon the name of the LORD and serve him with one accord. 10 From beyond the rivers of Cush (USA) my worshipers, the daughter of my dispersed ones, shall bring my offering.
