PREDICTING THE FUTURE 2012

Is it impossible to predict the future and what will happen in your nation and the world in 2012? I am not the Prophet Ezekiel, Joel or the Apostle John. I think it is dangerous for any man to claim the same prophetic powers as prophet specifically called by God in the Old Testament. I am not knocking the gift of prophecy, but unless you have a track record of 100% accuracy in all of your prophecies, according to Old Testament Law you are to be stoned.
Therefore I believe people should be very careful about claiming to be a prophet on the level of the Prophet Daniel. In addition, non-Biblical prophets like Nostradamus and Edgar Cayce were wrong more than they were right. However, through careful scientific and prophetic analysis, it is possible to move beyond an educated guess and on the basis of history, economics, science, statistical analysis and computerized spreadsheets, come up with projections regarding the future. In addition, through seeking the Lord and studying His Word there are truths we can gather regarding the future.
The Bible tells us that we must be careful to "rightly divide the Word of God." In matters of "predicting the future," we must be humble and sober. There are a lot of false prophets out there who have self-inflated egos and through their pride are open to spiritual deception. Unfortunately, many of God's people elevate these men and women to a status that God has not given them!
Having said all that, there are trends we can analyze, along with a careful study of the Word which can give us an idea of what is going to happen to America and the world in 2012.
