"TO: John B (23 Jan 2012) RE: THE WORD 'THEN' IS NOT FOUND HERE...."

Hi John,

This is exactly as the King James Version is written, and the word
'then' is NOT here:

Revelation 13:5-7
"And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and
blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two
months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme
His name, and His tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it
was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them:
and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations."

With all due respect, John,  I think you should re-think your position
because the word 'then' does not appear in Revelation 13:5-7 in  the
King James version. Yes, I know that it is inserted in the New King
James version, but I do not believe that it should have been inserted
for the very reason that it causes confusion. It also is NOT included
in the New International version.

I take Revelation 13:5 to mean EXACTLY what it says, "power was given
unto him to continue forty and two months" - no more, no less. I
believe that at the end of the "forty and two months" the Second
Coming of the Lord puts an end to his power. I also believe that the
rapture occurs at the beginning of the "forty and two months"  thereby
releasing the restraint of the Holy Spirit who is now holding him back
from his power.
