Dear Friends~

There has been some letters re: the verses in 2 Thes. 2:1-4

Here is my understanding of these verses…

The departure or falling away was explained by Jesus himself in Matt. 24:11.

There is a “departure” or “falling away” from God’s Law (His Truth) and from His Love.

“Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

But he endures to the end shall be saved.”  -Jesus (Matt. 24:13)

“Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless a falling away comes first, and that man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition…” 2 Thes. 2:3

The best interpreter of Scripture is other Scripture.  As we are careful to match Jesus’s very own words to other scripture, and

we will see that Jesus indeed has told us all things that the Father wanted us to know. John 16:15

Here is another verse that believers may interpret differently which may lead one to come to one of several conclusions re: the rapture timing.

“But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly.

For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the earth.  Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy (that you may have strength-older manuscripts)

To escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”  -Jesus (Luke 21:34-36)

“All these things” could very well be referring to all the ungodliness (punishable sins) as mentioned in verse 34, that we would be godly and strong in Christ, so that we may stand before Him in confidence, not fear- We are not under His wrath, amen!

Yet, this promise we do have from the LORD…

“Because you have kept My command to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell in the earth.” Rev. 3:10

I firmly believe that we are not under the wrath of God because of Jesus Christ in us, but what exactly does the hour of trial mean?  I’m still learning.

I know our GOD is able to either remove us or protect us through anything!

Here is another interesting verse:

“Come my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself as it were, for a little moment, until the indignation is past.

For behold, the LORD comes out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity.”

Isaiah 26:20

Remember the LORD’s great deliverance of Moses and the children of Israel and even Gentile believers who joined them?

He kept them through 10 plagues, even to through the very last one-as long as the blood of the lamb was upon their doorway, and the LORD provided a way, though I would not say easy, for them to escape.  Nothing is too difficult for Him!!

Behold, I am the God of all flesh, is anything too difficult for Me?” the LORD  (Jeremiah 32:27)

Look at Daniel 12:1-2.  It is like a mini outline of the end times.

“At that time Michael shall stand up, the great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people;

And their shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation,

Even to that time.  At the end your people shall be delivered,

Everyone who is found written in the book and many of those who sleep in the dust shall awake,

Some to everlasting life, some to shame and everlasting contempt.

The Great Tribulation

Believers do not precede the believers who have died on this earth in Christ.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God.

And then the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds

To meet the Lord in the air.  And thus we shall always be with the Lord.”  1 Thes. 4:16-17

It is interesting that Paul says not only “alive” but also “remain” (after what? tribulation read Matt. 24: 4-14) which fits with how the Jesus himself described the end times.

We should tread with great respect for the millions of believers (Jew and Gentile) who have given their lives for Christ sake over the centuries.

They are also the Bride of Christ, yet they suffered.  I think of the horrors God-fearing people have endured such things as the Holocaust and other great persecutions,

The grief and sorrow are unbearable except for this one thing…

Our One Hope is found in Christ….

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared to the glory which shall be revealed in us.”  Romans 8:18

Read about the first resurrection in Revelation 20:5-6.  These are believers who perished “who are blessed and holy”

This is clearly after the Great Tribulation.  Interesting….

Parable of the wheat and tares:

Matthew 13:24-30 and also explained in Matthew 13:36-43

He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man (JESUS).  The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom,

But the tares are the sons of the wicked one.

The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels….

The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend and those who practice

lawlessness….Then the righteous will shine forth as sun in the kingdom of their Father.  He who has ears let him hear!”

-Jesus (Matt. 13:37-43)

Conclusion, I am a blessed believer in the LORD Jesus Christ, and I’m still growing and learning.  I want to be ready whenever He does come.

May we all have a fresh supply of “oil” from the Holy Spirit to be ready for however the future unfolds, and PRAISE the LORD it (the future) and we are forever in His hands!! Isaiah 51:16

Let us continue to love one another, all the more, as we see the Day approaching.

“And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall anyone snatch them out of My Father’s hand.  I and My Father are one.”

-Jesus (John 10:29-30)

Bless you one and all in the Victorious and Faithful name of Our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ!!!
