Hi:

> > Who Said Rev. 4 chap 1 Is the Rapture??

That Rev. 4:1 is the Rapture is common knowledge among those that study the Bible thoroughly. To me, it is inescapable. John is not the only elder caught up. Twenty three other elders are caught up with him.

> > Rev. 4 verse 1 only talks about the 24 elders clothed in white, not multitudes of people.  In Chap. 5, only the four living creatures and the 24 elders proclaimed of being redeemed, again not multitudes of people.

John is one of the 24 elders, which I believe are the 12 patriarchs of Israel and the 12 apostles of Israel. In Rev. 4:4, John is crowned and seated with 23 other elders on their thrones, all part of the First-Trump Rapture. The elders are our Representatives.

Rev. 5:9,10 tells us about all the saints in heaven at that time. It says, "And they (the saints that were raptured) sung a NEW SONG, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and HAST REDEEMED US TO GOD BY THY BLOOD OUT OF EVERY KINDRED, AND TONGUE, AND PEOPLE, AND NATION; And hast made us (THE SAINTS OF THE FIRST RAPTURE) unto our God KINGS AND PRIESTS: AND WE SHALL (future tense) REIGN on (epi, on or over) the earth."

When the second Rapture takes place, those people come out of the Great Tribulation. They have to wash their robes, so these are the foolish virgins that were left behind the first time. Notice that they are NOT made kings and priests. They serve in "his temple".

Rev. 7:14,15 says, "These are they which came out of GREAT TRIBULATION, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple".

Along with the foolish virgins are the 144,000 Israelites and a great multitude that cannot be numbered. Rev. 7:9 says, "lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands".

Of the great multitude, the 144,000 Israelites are the only ones allowed to sing the NEW SONG. Rev. 14:3-5 says, "And they sung as it were a NEW SONG before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and NO MAN COULD LEARN THAT SONG BUT THE HUNDRED AND FORTY AND FOUR THOUSAND, which were redeemed from the earth. These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God."

There are different ranks in the First Resurrection. I Cor. 15:22,23 says, "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order (tagmati, rank): Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming."

The foolish virgins get a second chance to be raptured, but they do not get another chance to be kings. The wise virgins will be kings.

> >. In Chap. 6 the 4 horsemen are let loose upon the earth to help usher the AC in.

The first horseman is the Antichrist. The 4th horseman is the Satan-possessed False Prophet.

> > Now in Chap. 6 God talks about the Great Day of His Wrath.   This is when the Tribulation is about to officially start.  We get Raptured somewhere before the Great Day of His Wrath, but don't know when.

The great and terrible Day of God's Wrath ENDS the Great Tribulation. It is one day like no other. It is Jesus' Long Day, of which Joshua's Long Day was the type.

Of Joshua's Long Day, Jos 10:11 says, "And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, and were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the LORD CAST DOWN GREAT STONES FROM HEAVEN upon them unto Azekah, and they died: they were more which died with hailstones than they whom the children of Israel slew with the sword."

Likewise, on Jesus' Long Day, the Lord will cast down two asteroids (Rev. 8:8-11). The mountain-sized one will impact the Mediterranean Sea. The "star" (aster) will obliterate Babylon, near the Euphrates.

These impacts will turn the Earth upside down, causing Jesus' Long Day. Isa. 22:16-19 says, "What hast thou here? (Babylon) and whom hast thou here (the Satan-possessed False Prophet), that thou hast hewed thee out a sepulchre here, as he (Satan) that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and that graveth an habitation for himself in a rock (an asteroid called Wormwood, Rev. 8:11)? Behold, the LORD will carry thee away with a mighty captivity, and will surely cover thee. He will surely violently turn and TOSS THEE LIKE A BALL into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house. And I will drive thee from thy station, and from thy state shall he pull thee down."

Dan 12:1 says, "And at that time (the Day of the Lord when the False Prophet shall be deposed, see previous verse) shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be A TIME OF TROUBLE, SUCH AS NEVER WAS SINCE THERE WAS A NATION EVEN TO THAT SAME TIME: and at that time (the great and terrible Day of God's Wrath, Rev. 6:17,7:1-14) thy people (the 144,000 Israelites) shall be delivered (i.e., raptured), every one that shall be found written in the book."

That great and terrible Day of the Lord will be the time of Jacob's trouble, ONE LITERAL DAY LIKE NO OTHER. Jer 30:7 says, "Alas! for that day is great, so that NONE IS LIKE IT: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it."

Joel 1:15 says, "Alas for the day! for the DAY OF THE LORD is at hand, and as a DESTRUCTION FROM THE ALMIGHTY shall it come."

The Day of the Lord is on one day, the Feast of Trumpets. Joel 2:1-3 says, "Blow ye the TRUMPET in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the DAY OF THE LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong (Gog's army); THERE HATH NOT BEEN EVER THE LIKE, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them."

Joel 2:11 says, "And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the DAY OF THE LORD IS GREAT AND VERY TERRIBLE, and who can abide it?"

Of this day, Rev. 6:17 says, "the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" In Rev. 7:14, we see that the Tribulation saints have been caught up to Heaven. In Rev. 8, we see the 7 trumpets given to the 7 angels. God's wrath begins there.

> > God promises to rescue us before the Tribulation Starts

I used to think that too, but we seem to be in the Tribulation already. I had to change my view. It is as John told us.

In the Preview of the Rapture in Rev. 1:9-11, John said, "I John, who also am your brother, and COMPANION IN TRIBULATION, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos (meaning mortal), for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. I was (lit., became) in the Spirit on the Lord's day (Sunday), and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last".

Next Ascension Day will be Sunday, May 29, 2011. It being during barley harvest and on Sunday makes it seem like it will be the day of the First-Trump Rapture.

> > The two prophets are Enoch and Elijah,  they HAVEN'T tasted death.

It doesn't mention whether they have tasted death or not. Did Enoch stand by the Lord of the whole Earth? Not that we are told in those words.

What clues are we given? Of the two witnesses, Rev 11:4 says, "These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth."

This ties in with Zech 4:11-14. It says, "What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, THAT STAND BY THE LORD OF THE WHOLE EARTH."

At the Transfiguration, Moses and Elijah stood by the Lord of the whole earth.

Mark 9:2-4 says, "And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain (representing the Rapture) apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them. And there appeared unto them Elias (Elijah) with MOSES: and they were talking with Jesus."

I think the two witnesses are Moses (representing the dead in Christ) and Elijah (representing the living who are in Christ).

"RE: Marilyn Agee:"

Who Said Rev. 4 chap 1 Is the Rapture??  Just because John was shown  What is to come, doesn't mean the Rapture happened during 4 verse 1.  He was just shown of the things to come. Rev. 4 verse 1 only talks about the 24 elders clothed in white, not multitudes of people.  In Chap. 5, only the four living creatures and the 24 elders proclaimed of being redeemed, again not multitudes of people.  In Chap. 6 the 4 horsemen are let loose upon the earth to help usher the AC in.  The the seal only talks about the Mariters who died on the earth for preaching the word.   Only THEY get to wear the White Robes at THIS time.  (Remember, the dead in Christ rise first?).  Now in Chap. 6 God talks about the Great Day of His Wrath.   This is when the Tribulation is about to officially start.  We get Raptured somewhere before the Great Day of His Wrath, but don't know when.
I think it's foolish for us to believe that we won't endure any of the things to come.  God promises to rescue us before the Tribulation Starts, but he never said we won't endure some of the birth pangs leading the the Tribulation.

I hope everyone re reads Rev. Chap. 4 and read what it is really telling us?

Note:  The two prophets are Enoch and Elijah,  they HAVEN'T tasted death.
