"Beginning of Sorrows/Rapture/Great Tribulation"

We have all noticed the incredible increase in earthquakes in various (divers) places and it now looks like we can add food problems to the mix in 2011 and perhaps economic meltdowns.

I believe that we are in the 70th week. We are seeing many earthquakes and now predictions of famines this year. Pestilence can't be too far behind and maybe it's kicking into gear as well with swine flu and other diseases. I just don't know much about the pestilence; perhaps someone else could comment on this. Also, we are hearing a little more about Christian persecution; Jesus talked about this as well.

Matthew 24:7  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.  8  All these are the beginning of sorrows.

The 70th week is 7 years with the first 3.5 years being referred to as the beginning of sorrows and the great tribulation is the last 3.5 years or so. I haven't seen anywhere in the bible where there is a 7 year tribulation. The rapture I believe is going to occur right around the beginning of the great tribulation and around the time of the abominatin of desolation. It's hidden right in plain sight in Daniel 12 and Jesus describes the same rapture event right after the abomination in Matthew 24:15-21.

Daniel 12:1  And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.  2  And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasitng life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

I know many are still waiting for a pre 7 year trib rapture and a 7 year peace treaty. I just don't see it and nor can I find that in the bible. If you look at what is going on around the world with weather, birds, fishes, earthquakes, magnetic pole shifts, economic woes, etc, etc we must be in the beginning of sorrows. Now the million dollar question; when did it start or when does the great tribulation begin? I am not sure; some have said 2007 and others have stated that 2008 was the year. I believe it was one of those and we are further along than many may realize. I have to ask this question though; does the temple have to be rebuilt before the abomination of desolation can occur?  I think it does but I am not 100% sure about that.

Another thing I believe is that none of the seals have been opened because that happens after the rapture in Revelation 4:1. The first seal describes someone, the antichrist, going forth conquering, and to conquer. I don't think this has happened yet and the antichrist is not filled with Satan until right around the abomination and the beginning of the great tribulation.

More convincing scriptures regarding who will be here with the beast and who will not:

Revelation 13:8  And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (the beast), whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb..................

Revelation 17:8  The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.

Revelation 17:12  And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

The church at Philadelphia, whose names must be written in the book, will be spared from the hour of temptation:

Revelation 3:10  Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

These scriptures show us a few things. Those that are worthy to escape these things are promised to not go through great tribulation and that the rapture will be just about immediately after the abomination of desolation. That is all we are promised. The abomination of desolation does not occur at the beginning of the 70th week. These scriptures tell us that the only ones to behold the beast for one hour (or 42 months) are those whose names are not written in the book of life.

So, when is the rapture? I'm not sure but I believe we will know the season and I believe that it won't be any later than April, 2012 based on Ron Reese's excellent research on the final 7 years. Two things, in my mind, have to happen first. The Lord told me ECONOMIC COLLAPSE and then RAPTURE. Also, I believe the temple needs to be rebuilt. I am ready to go as you all are and yes the birth pangs seem to be getting closer and more severe. This world is not the same world I grew up in and has noticeably started getting worse, much worse, about the time Mr. O came on the national scene, hmmm. Just based on that last sentence, I believe the 70th week started on Feast of Trumpets 2008 when the Dow made the big dive of 777 points. I believe that was a marker. And then Obama's speech in late October figures in their as well.

One final thought; I have noticed that some are moving the 2nd coming of Jesus to earth out to 2017 +/- because the rapture hasn't happened yet and they believe in a pre (7 yr) trib rapture. I believe based on what Ron Reese and a few others have shown re: 2015 with all of the ecllipses on important Jewish feast days can not be overlooked or dismissed. The last time these things happened were very significant days in fulfilling bible prophecy. Israel was reborn as a nation and Jerusalem was recaptured. This type of event is not scheduled to occur after 2015 for a couple hundred years or more? I think we can all agree that the rapture will be way before then and that we are very close.

Be blessed in the Lord and by all means we need to try and reach the lost until Jesus comes for his bride.

God Bless,
Kent
