"Paul's Thorn in the Flesh & the 109 Number"
in this famous verse:
2 Corinthians 12:7
"And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the
revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger
of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure."
The Apostle Paul tells of a vanity check that God put in his life due to
the greatness of the revelations which the Lord showed him. actually it
seems he is referring to himself in the previous verse about being
'caught up' to heaven ...
this "thorn" verse can be studied word by word here:
this "thorn" has been a mystery that has given birth to many a theory
to what it was. maybe a person, maybe an illness, etc.
I have no theory of my own but I do note this that I think the Lord
the "Thorn" word is
Strong's 4647 greek = skolops
meaning "a pointed piece of wood, a pale, a stake, a sharp stake,
Strong's gematria for this word is
1090 (109 x 10)
though not all that it is by a long shot, 109 is a confirmed grief
number (in my book) arising from the 9-11 numbers.
2001 - 911 = 1090
any prime number multiplied by 10 seems to mean the extreme.
so 109 x 10 means extreme grief.
Pauls' seems to have been in extreme grief with this thorn, and thus he
prayed three times about it to the Lord to remove it.
seems to be a match.
also note this
this is verse # 29030 (2903 x 10)
Strong's 2903 hebrew = towphaphah
bands, phylacteries, frontlets, marks
Strong's hebrew gematria value is
lastly note this
the TR-Sriv version of the text shows the verse to have 109 letters.
